The large and elegant castle served as a home to a noble demon known as Vyers. The master himself has reading over a letter with interest. The normal occupants of the castle no doubt thought it it was probably a letter from a girl or something to draw self proclaimed Beauty Danshaku's attention like this. However, that couldn't be further from the truth in this case, what Vyers was looking at was a copy of a letter sent to Prince Laharl. He had sent a spy into the Prince's castle someday's ago to gather information on his Rival for the throne. His spy had been insightful enough to copy the letter and bring it to Vyers attention.
The Beauty Danshaku now mauled over the options he could do with that information. He could try to meet with this competitor himself and suggest a team up... Of which he'd have to backstab his "Partner" after Laharl was defeated. That however seemed below him, perhaps he could simply knock off this challenger and then take Laharl by surprise? That seemed more his style of doing things, besides things had been far too quiet lately.
His mind made up, Vyers folded the letter and placed it with some of his other less important papers. The demon noble picked out some of his finest minions and prepared them to set off for the Blazing Core. He had to be quick about this and defeat this competitor before Laharl showed up there.

Another day sitting out in this horrible heat.
"What is taking him so long?" Jace thought aloud.
Jace had been anxious to meet the Beauty Baron ever since he had heard of this nobles exploits in battle. Jace knew that with the amount of wealth that Vyers possessed, he could fund his research. Now it would only take some convincing that Jace was in fact worthy of the patronage.
Jace was beginning to get worried that the letter might not have made it into the hand of The Dark Adonis. Nothing could go wrong today. This was Jace's first chance in a long while to be able to get his hands on some real Hel in order to continue searching for the ancient artifacts of lore. And of course, he knew that if he had to dirty his hands, that it would be worth it. Jace began to check and clean his side arm--he knew that a single problem could prevent the use of his most trusted weapon. The sweat began to pour down his brow, as the heat began to overtake him. Jace was so used to the coldest reaches of the Netherworld that this heat was beginning to get to him.
"It was a mistake to challenge Vyers here. I should have told him to come to me in Jotunheim or even the Stellar Graveyard. I'm not sure if my body will be able to hold up in the god-awful heat. Well, no going back now. I have to see this through".
Hours passed, and the sun began to set over the horizon; Jace was once again lost in thought. His mind drifted to the books he had recently read which contained the alchemic mixes of various herbal remedies and their effects. He wondered if such plants would be able to survive in the harsh conditions here. Suddenly, his ears pricked up as he heard approaching footsteps--It was him!
Vyers had arrived.

While the Danshaku was busy making preparations, a young demon had broken down the front doors and slaughtered several guards that were standing duty. His pale blue eyes surveyed the enormous castle with little interest.
"...What kind of a dump is this...?", he said to himself, his voice cold as ice.
He had only been here a few minutes, and already he was bored of it. Then he smirked a bit, as he cracked his knuckles upon hearing footsteps.
"Well, well. Sounds like the owner's on his way. But, just to be on the safe side..."
He quickly vaulted himself onto a beam high in the cieling, before hanging himself upside down to observe the approaching demons.
I really hope this'll be more fun than the other guys. Otherwise, plundering this castle just won't be worth it...
(OOC: Sorry if this seems too short. I'm a little rusty.)

Dark Adonis, Let it be known that your reputation precedes you. I, Demiel, wish to extend an offer of partnership to you in a joint effort to unseat the somewhat lacking prince Laharl. I have been observing your exploits most carefully and I note that you have the strength, courage, ability, and the certain je ne se qua required to rule the netherworld. Please inform my aid, Paricci, of your choice. A meeting may be arranged at the location of your choice. I eagerly anticipate a most eventful future. -Demiel
Paricci read the message again, the French phrase was a nice touch. He shut his one good eye and yawned, he had been waiting in ambush for far too long. He had watched the thief clean his guns for hours. The red skull shifted his weight on the precipice overlooking the fiery landscape below.
He had a good view. He could see the challenger and the path along which Vyers would have to travel. His orders were simple; once Vyers eliminated the thief hand over the letter. If Vyers needs assistance in beating the thief, help the beauty baron out of good will and hopefully gain his trust. He began to nod off.
"No sleeping on the job errand-boy!" Ignis' voice rang in his ears.
"Shut up. You aren't my master any more." Paricci said as he yanked on the collar around his neck.
"You always were such an impertinent upstart. I am surprised that Demiel hasn't grown tired of you yet."
"Master Demiel is so much more powerful than you. One day he'll pry this damn collar off of my neck and you'll be out of my head."
"Your master is just as ignorant as you. He has lost his heading and has drifted out to sea. He is as rudderless as you are, you just can't see it. I might as well have taken both of your eyes."
Paricci punched the ground violently. "Damn you, Ignis. I hope you're still burning." He decided to juggle, it always took his mind off of things. He pulled from his rags three juggling balls. He placed his staff on the ground, at his side, and stood. As he juggled he danced along the edge of the outcropping, kicking his feet high into the air. He nearly plummeted into the pit below when he saw the silhouette of the Beauty Baron against the flames.

(In order of poster.)
Vyers arrived on the scene, his minons ready for battle. The first thing he saw was that there was a researcher (or atleast what appeared to be a researcher.) before him. The Demon looked out of his element in a place like the Blazing Core, and the noble was sure this was not his opponnet. Thinking a moment, the Beauty Danshaku then recalled that someone had wanted to meet him here. Vyers simply hadn't thought it was today, at least it was at the same place. The noble lord brushed some locks of hair away from his face in a elegent manor and said, "I, Vyers, The Beauty Danshaku have arrived. You wanted to meet with me, ... Monsieur Jace, wasn't it?" Vyers said in his usual noble and gentlemenly tone. He had left earily enough so that he could make sure to get to his destination on time, so he could spare the moment to speak with the Demon.
(Next post) Meanwhile back at the castle, The guards Vyers had left behind had found the bodies of there comrades scattered about. They currently were on the trail of the burglar. They knew well that if Vyers came home to this it wasn't going to be good. The Castles lord had already left at the Dimentional gate not more then a few moments ago, and the sound was that of Vyers stand in. A Demon dressed up like him to fool assassins. The unsupecting demon simply thought he was an apprentice with good fashion sense, and walked right beneath the high beams that the thief was on...
(Last post) Back at the Blazing Core, the Noble known as Vyers was about to start conversing with the Demon by the name of Jace when he heard movement behind him. Could that be Laharl's competitor? he thought mildly distracted. He gave a brief glance behind himself, but it was no good. He couldn't see from that angle and if he turned he'd not only be being rude to the person infront of him but those behind him would know that he knew that they were there. This in mind, the Beauty Danshaku kept looking at Jace and kept his ears alert for further movement.

Master Vyers, Jace began.
"I was beginning to wonder if my letter had come into your possession. I have called you here on this day to request your assistance with funding for my research. For you see, I am but a mere wanderer who seeks the truths behind the universe. I have since been continuing my research thanks to my benefactor. However, most recently, he was killed by the Archangel Vulcanus himself. This being the case, I immediately sought out the richest, most noble demon in the area. And wouldn't you know it, it was in fact your name that kept popping up!"
Jace was calm and collected, and his mind began to drift as it always did-- how would the Dark Adonis would take this information. He was hopeful that all would go well, as he was anxious to get back to his research. It had been far too long since he had last traveled back into the far reaches of the Netherworld in order to study the ancient lore of demons. Nonetheless, Jace was ready to prove himself in battle if it must come to such matters.
Jace came back into frame. He stared directly into the eyes of the Beauty Danshaku-- such calm and carefree eyes, yet they seemed to possess an air of almost...sadness about them. Jace just...couldn't place his finger on it.
"What was that!?"
Jace noticed a sudden movement from the behind Vyers. "Were those coloured balls?" Jace however pretended not to notice. This was not the time to be distracted by such minor details. But as precaution, Jace removed his Ion 8k Ninja from it's holster underneath his cape; "It's always better to be safe than sorry", he thought. Jace quickly restored his gaze to Vyers' tall figure. It looked as though the Beauty Baron had begun to give reply...

"The Truth behind the universe, that's quiet a goal." Vyers replied with some interest. In a world were lying cheating and stealing were normal, infact encouraged, geting the truth about anything was a challange. Most demons had simply given up on such things and learned to live in the distrustful realm of demons. The youth had caught the Beauty Danshaku at a bad time but perhaps he could use this to his advantage as well? "Your quest is a hard one, but I'll take you on. You'll first have assist me with my own buisness however." Vyers replied in is normal carefree way. Now that the buisness part was out of the way he could address the possable threat behind him. "What was that!?" Jace had said. "That, is possably the the other buisness I came here to take care of." Vyers had replied, both of their voices seemed to be low enough not to be heard by the suspected threat.

The young demon scowled at this. "Tch! Looks like I came a little late. I was hoping to get a hold of the nobody who owned this place...oh well. Fun is fun." He uncurled his legs from around the beam and launched himself towards the floor, landing rather lightly as he stood before the demon. "Alright guy, who the hell are you? And where's the head honcho of this place?"

Back at Blazing Core...
Paricci had dropped the ball. The green one, that is. He juggled the yellow and red ones in his left hand while he stooped to retrieve the stray ball with his right. He put the balls away away and took up his staff.
He walked closer to the pair he did his best to listen to their conversation. He couldn't hear what they were saying, but he knew from the Demiel's spies in Vyer's castle that he could certainly hold his own in battle so he did his best to be discreet as he crept up behind the beauty baron. Being discreet was difficult for Paricci however, because the bells around his feet.
Jingle, jingle.
After taking a few more steps he paused and ducked because Vyers had stepped aside and the thief opened fire. Paricci rolled for cover behind a rock to get his bearings. Things were not going according to the plan.

"Blast!", thought Jace.
That person who had been listening in from the shadows had dodged his attack. But this was his chance! All he had to do now was simply dispose of this minor nuisance, and the funding would be all his. The $$$ Hel signs began to flash in his mind. He couldn't fail now. Jace scanned the area in which he saw the figure last disappear. "He must be hiding in the thicket", Jace thought to himself. What a fool! Jace began to laugh aloud. To him, this was going to be mere child's play. He would scare this masked demon out of hiding with ease..
Jace threw back his cape, and took his second pistol from his leg holster. With both his Ion 8k Ninja and his second firearm in hand, he cried out,
"You can't escape me! Multi-Fire!"
And with that, he began to let loose bullets every which way in the direction of his mysterious assailant. This was it. He was confident in his abilities. He knew that his spray fire would no doubt either wound this cowardly demon or at least draw him out into the open for a real fight. Either way, Jace was prepared.
