Finally well out and away from the group they were previously with, Mudell let go of the girl's arm, turning around to face her. To tell the truth, he had also felt a bit uncomfortable that he was about to follow those people, but they were responsible for ruining his meal. He wanted to have them pay in some sort of way, but realized all too quickly that that's what a Prism Ranger WOULDN'T do. Forgive me, Prism Red! But I now have a way to salvage my honor!
Placing both of his hands at his side, he took a deep breath and exhaled, but quietly enough so that he wasn't blowing air all in Miria's face. Then, he put a thumbs up in front of her. "That sure was a weird group, wasn't it? Anyways, you didn't have anywhere specific to go, right? Well, let's head on over to Enzer's - I need my fill of rice before I can take you out of this forest properly!" He started walking - again without getting her name, but at least this time he wasn't dragging her behind him.

Looking around Miria realized there had really been no reason to stop here, they were still in the forest. Although she was grateful her arm had been returned to her control, the fact that he had decided to make a stop made Miria worry that he too might be lost now, putting her back on square one. She didn't like square one much, it was just far too... square. But, the guy who had dragged her along did look fairly calm, as if contemplating something, she was about to ask exactly where they were headed, when she suddenly got a thumb jabbed towards her face, causing her to jerk back slightly.
After his quick explanation of what his plan was, Miria nodded. It was true she wasn't heading anywhere in specific, sure if someone could point her in the general direction of Earth that would be nice, but she doubted she'd have that much luck. So, for now she'd just go with him to this Enzer's place, seemingly some kind of a restaurant. So, she started following the man, walking slightly behind, with her hands behind her back. “This all sounds good to me... my name is Miria st. Regioster Eltnam Germaine, by the way. I'm afraid I didn't catch yours?”

Stopping when he heard the long name, he turned around a blinked for a moment. Seriously? Whew.. "That's a heck of a long name.. Anyways, I'm Mudell Kenshi, but you can just call my Mudell, since I'll just be calling you Miria." Waiting for her okay, he turned back around and continued on their way down the beaten path. Well, to be precise, it wasn't really a path - Mudell was just very familiar with the area. So unless an entire portion of land were to be changed, he knew where they were.
And he also knew he had to get his katana ready. His left hand suddenly on the hilt of his sword, he stopped for a moment in order to warn Miria. Once again turning around to face her, he was going to warn her about the area, when suddenly a very small ghost just dashed up from out of the ground and attempted to tackle her. As he was running to try and help her out, he got surrounded by a swarm of ghosts himself - another swarm was about to encircle around Miria as well. "Miria, they're weak! Just don't be scared, and swing your weapon like crazy... if you have one!!"

“It's a family name with a great history, it is very noble, I'll have you know. But, Miria will be fine, Mudell.” She put her head high up in the air, trying to look as regal as possible, and stumbling on a root in the process, nearly causing her to fall flat on her face. “What's with this place anyway? It's not much of a road...” She carefully stepped over another root, trying to focus hard on the ground so that she wouldn't trip over anything, she didn't want to... well other than it being an inconvenience, it really wasn't much of an issue. However, as she didn't pay attention to her surroundings, she didn't notice Mudell had put his hand on his sword, nor that he had stopped, and was thus almost complete unprepared when the ghost attacked her.
It was mostly due to luck that she had been able to dodge the tackle, she just saw something heading towards her, and instinctively sidestepped to the right, causing the ghost to fly by her, missing her with a few inches. “Spirits?” she asked herself, whilst raising an eyebrow. Shouldn't they be in like, a graveyard or something, or something scary? The air around here wasn't even stagnated... oh but then again, this was kind of like hell, so ghosts and other unnatural beings should be able to roam free... that might prove to be an issue later.
Miria was soon surrounded by quite the bunch of ghosts, much to her displeasure. Her potential bodyguard/servant seemed to be busy with his own squadron, which meant that she'd have to fend them off on her own... even though Mudell was assuring her that they were weak, she didn't like fighting if there was the possibility of not doing it on her own. “Waaah, I'm just a weak girl, isn't it standard procedure to first defeat my protector before going for me?” she asked the ghosts, hoping they would go by the usual bad guy pattern, and actually leave her alone. There was silence for a while, but it seemed the ghosts rejected her offer, as one suddenly rushed at her head on. “Kyaaaaaaaa!!!... not.”
As the ghost rushed forward, three blades suddenly appeared in Miria's left hand, seemingly having slid out of the sleeves of her robes. As the handles of the blades were rather short, Miria was easily able to hold them in between her fingers, making it look like a claw of sorts. The ghost was pretty close now, and Miria decided to go on the offensive as well. “Katto!!” She swept with her right hand, the blades going through the oncoming ghost like butter, seemingly killing it instantly... if ghosts can be killed that is. Perhaps exterminating would be a better word. Miria wasn't finished however, as she quickly changed her fighting style, throwing the three blades at another ghost who had decided to surround her, erasing it from existence. An additional six blades suddenly appeared in her hands, three in each, as she got ready for the next assault. Spirit extermination was what she was trained for after all, this wouldn't be too much of a bother.

By the time he was finished with his own set of ghosts, Mudell arrived in time only to see Miria destroy her opponents already. To be honest, he was quite surprised that she defeated them already. He had figured her to be able to at least survive their assault, but this was much better in the end. However, he was also surprised to see that these things happening seemed unnatural to her. Did she not live in the Netherworld her whole life? Shrugging, he got a bit closer to make sure she was okay.
"You're pretty skilled; almost as good as a Prism Ranger! In any case, let's continue on our way. And keeps your weapons at the ready; there's a lot of demons around here, in case you couldn't tell." Nodding, he made his way through the forest once more. He was used to traveling quickly to avoid any type of fighting, but he had to make sure he didn't move quick enough so as to leave Miria behind.
As they went along their way, minor pests appeared from time to time. A zombie here, a pixie demon there. Nothing too serious, at least in the terms of being in the Netherworld. He was glad that Miria was able to keep up not only the pace, but the fighting as well. Things seemed to be progressing along smoothly for the duo.
Eventually, they came across a clearing, almost a huge, empty spot in the forest. Mudell stopped suddenly again. It was his turn to be surprised. "What? Enzer usually sets up shop here... What happened?" As he took a step forward, a big booming voice came from the opposite direction, knocking down trees as it came closer. A rather large looking human appeared before them, but his red eyes gave away the fact he was a demon. Behind him was a small army of treants.
"Gwah hahahaha! Get them, my army of trees!!" Mudell and Miria were suddenly rushed by a horde of trees - 10 of them to be exact. "Miria! Prepare yourself; these foes seem stronger than the ones we faced before!" Not waiting for the treants to come attack him, Mudell went in fast, quickly taking out two of the treants in his initial attack.

“... You can't be serious...” Miria mumbled as the treants rushed at her. The fact that whatever their goal had been was missing was a sign of trouble, sure, but this wasn't quite what she had imagined. Being randomly attacked by a large man who seemed to be able to control trees? For the first time in her life, Miria actually felt homesick. She was trained to hunt the occult, but this place was starting to wear her down... maybe if they had a tourist information stand somewhere nearby she'd be able to get a better picture of how this place worked, because right now it seemed like total madness.
There was no time for musing, though. Miria threw three swords at a treant, and was quick to note that stabbing attacks didn't have much of an effect on trees. Her weapons weren't made for slashing, either, they could cut through flesh if they had to, but wood? Not likely. She pointlessly threw another volley at the tree, however it didn't even seem to notice. Annoyed by the futility of her actions, she threw another volley, and then another, and soon enough, the tree bark was barely visible among the swords, and the treant finally fell over. Proud of her handiwork, and slightly surprised, as the amount of swords she was carrying was far more than she had previously calculated, Miria clapped her hands together. Then she realized there was still seven more to go. With a sigh, she took aim for her next enemy, intending to repeat the procedure.

As the treants got closer and closer to where Miria was, Mudell rushed his way back to her, back kicking a treant out of the way while he got there. By now, he had an idea how she fought. Leaping so that his back was to her's, he constantly fought off treants as they got closer. "Aim for the face, if you can. They have a soft spot right down the middle of their entire face - the nose, if you will."
Pressing against her back slightly to signify that he was going to go off again. He wanted to target the demon, but the treants were preventing the way to him. An idea suddenly hit him. "Miria, forget the treants!" He rammed his whole body into the treants around her that hadn't fallen yet. After all, being a Prism Ranger means no always being the hero, right? He stabbed his sword into a treant that was about to jump onto him, then tossed it to the side.

Things were starting to look desperate, if not for Mudell, this battle probably would have been a lost cause, but, at least now she was able to properly gauge his powers, and she had to admit, she was pleased, she would definitely have to recruit him as a servant of some sort, he seemed to know his way around the place, so there really was no downsides to having him come with her... aside from the fact that he was a bit odd. Following his tip, she took aim for what seemed to be the nose, and it did have more of an effect, not enough, but it was something at least. She gritted her teeth, thinking this fight would take some time still.
Suddenly Mudell told her to ignore the treants, which was easier said than done, they were trying to mangle her to death after all. Forget about the treants... does that mean he wants me to go for the big guy? She glanced towards the demon that had entered the scene right before the treants had attacked them... cut off the head and the body will fall, right? With that thought in mind, she threw three swords at the man, mostly to gauge his strength. He slapped two of them aside like nothing, but the third one dug into the back of his hand. It didn't seem like it had caused any real damage, but at least it was more than what she was able to do against the treants... perhaps he was a better match up for her after all. She left the position she had been holding so far, dashing towards the demon whilst trying to pin him down with a barrage of blades.

For monsters such as these, there was no remorse whatsoever. Mudell could cut at them freely without feeling like he was causing anything bad to happen. While the Prism Rangers were known for defeating demons (have they ever done so, really?), Mudell knew from time to time that not all demons were the cause for the evils of the world. Humans could be much worse than a demon. These thoughts ran through is mind as he slashed away at the claws that kept threatening to pierce his body.
His back eventually hit a boulder - and he was surrounded by the remaining few treants that were left. He breathed hard - it had been some time since he had to fight so hard. If it weren't for Miria being here, he didn't know if he could have survived this long in battle. The treants opened their mouth, and shot out their poisonous fumes at him. Bringing on hand up to his face, he did his best not to breath in the fumes. At that same moment, he disappeared in the cloud, suddenly bursting through with a wide-arced slash that teared across the treants.
As the treants fell in defeat, Mudell fell, coughing, and trying to fight off the poison. "Tch.. how could I let myself fall for that so easily.." Pushing himself up, he realized that the fight wasn't done yet. Struggling, he made his way for the demon. He moved with a speed that was fast enough to pass Miria, and he made it over to the demon who was fending off her attacks as best as he could. Before Mudell could strike, though, a large foot crashed into his torso, sending him flying back into the ground. The demon stood over him, ready to crush him beneath his feet, while Mudell could only lie there, still coughing out the fumes.

The demon was more of a bother than she had been expecting, while it was a general rule that the beings she had been trained to hunt were more powerful than her, this guy seemed like a regular grunt, someone not even noticeable in the grand scheme of things, yet he was still expertly avoiding most of her attacks, much to her annoyance. Suddenly Mudell dashed past her, apparently done with the treants, he didn't look too well though, but backup was most appreciated... if only it had been effective, he was knocked down before even being able to lay hands on the enemy.
As the large demon towered over Mudell, Miria leaped towards them, if her combat goon was killed, she'd be in trouble, and just as lost as she had been earlier. She was a pretty good acrobat, and if the demon was focused on the prey on the ground, she should be able to start her assault unnoticed. Indeed, she hadn't even been giving a glance as she jumped towards the demon, and with all her strength shoved a blade into his chest. “Katto!” This brought attention back to her, as the demon grasped for the fly who had dared to sting him, but before he was able to grab Miria, she used the hilt of the sword to swing herself up into the air, landing on the demon's shoulders. “Katto!!” she shoved a sword into his neck, it looked like it would hurt, but didn't seem to do much damage, as the demon only grunted, before trying to grab her.
Miria refused to go down so easily, and deploying similar techniques, she was able to zoom across the giant's body, whilst stabbing him, hoping to hit some kind of weak spot. “Katto, katto, katto, katto, katto, KATTO KATTO KATTO KATTOKATTOKATTOKATTOKATTOKATTOKATTOKATTO!!” she yelled once for each sword, because everyone knows yelling whilst attacking makes you way cooler. The swinging around using swords and stabbing was putting quite a strain on her arm, and she eventually fell to the ground, as her own weight became too much to handle, and her grip around a sword hilt slipped, causing her to tumble onto the ground, panting heavily. She had no idea if she had done any significant damage at all, but she knew she was spent, she wouldn't be able to throw anything at the demon, even if she wanted to.
