Woot, I'm gettin' better! In Grass Town right now, I've got the Flamethrower thinger and I turned on all the fans. I've gotten all the Life Capsules so far, getting about about 25 HP, and my missiles are at 20 for max capacity. Am I doin' it right? =D

@vi (first time): okay, your doing good stat-wise, and just to tell you there's a very non-vital gun you can get now that involves the jelly and a fire in the mimiga village (too big a hint? ) -------------------- @destroyer Pichu: To get the hard path you have to do a number of things: WARNING! MAJOR SPOILERS TO THOSE WHO HAVEN'T FINISHED THE GAME!!! (highlight to see) first, you must make sure that when you go through the labyrinth, you DO NOT talk to Prof. Booster when he falls in, you have to save and clear the gap without the jetpack.
second, when you make it to the core area, before you talk to Curly to start the fight, jump down to the lower-right corner of the room and grab the tow-rope (it'll be a little sparkle in the water) if you've done everything right so far you should get a message after the boss fight about Jenka's brother.
Then, make sure to attach Curly to you with the tow-rope after fighting the core, proceed as normal through the underwater cavern until you get to a clearing with a tricky jump out of the water to a door (it took me more than a few tries to get in there right >< ). Next, press various objects in the house to drain Curly of water (I forget the exact stuff, but you can't mess it up if you tried. DO NOT LEAVE CURLY THERE AFTER HELPING HER! You should lose track of her in the fight with Ironhead, but don't worry, that's supposed to happen.
go to the teleporter house and Professor Booster should show you up and give you a BETTER jetpack (yes, this is required).
Play through normally until the outside wall climb. You may have noticed in previous play-throughs that there was a rectangular block with a clock on it near the beginning. Somewhere to the left of that, there should be an unusually long cut of hallway with a single piece of fence at the end. examine the fence and it will bring you to the clock room. Open the chest to find the nikumaru counter (this step isn't really necessary, but a lot of people like to time themselves through hell and this will keep track for you)
At the plantation, then go to the underground niche in the lower-right corner of the map and you'll find Curly with a Cthullu. She is unresponsive and the Cthullu says she has amnesia and there is a medicine somewhere (I REALLY recommend just finding the teleporter between the teleporter house and the plantation for here, and yes you have to hear about it from the Cthullu first, no skipping steps). Go to the graveyard in the mimiga village and jump into the little niche in the top of the level with your uber-jetpack and you'll find ma pignon, talk to her and answer correctly (she'll try to trick you), and she'll give you a completely useless item. Complain, have a boss fight with her, then go back to Curly with the actually useful item. She'll wake up and remember even the stuff she forgot originally (like the main character's name, but I'll let you figure that out on your own )
Play through normally, the requirements have been met by now. You'll find that the final cave is MUCH harder and has the black wind (lowers all weapon levels to 1 when you enter), REQUIRES the uber-jetpack, and has a new boss!... but that isn't hell, that's mild compared to hell
Play through normally until you're running away from the throne-room tower (where you have the "final" boss fight) and you'll find that you can now actually enter the little house from before! Except now there's a gaping hole in the floor...
You can save here, and trust me, you'll need it! If you want to give up hell because it's too hard, you can use the magic bookshelf (WTF?!) to put you about 15 seconds back in time just as you were escaping the tower in the first place.
Jump down the hole, the nikumaru counter will start if you have it, and the black wind comes to take away all your levels again (hope you found nemesis ) and as the sign says near the bottom of a secret little room at the very top of the place:
WELCOME TO HELL! ------------------ @vi (again) you have to talk to the robot that Balrog crushed in the power room, then talk to Sue's brother (can't remember his name ATM )

Yeah, I got the charcoal an' all that. Now I've just got to get around to fighting Balrog V3. I died, and such, since it's so damn late, I'm sitting here just veggin' out. 2 AM... what's WRONG with me?

eh, Balfrog can be a problem if you can't get the timing down. Try to load all your missiles into it at max level (if you've found it's weak point yet )

So far I've found that an open mouth equals FIRE A BUNCH OF MISSILES IN HOMAIGAWD, but it's proving to be a bit less effective then I'd hoped. But hey, if I can get the timing down and I persevere a bit, it shouldn't be a problem.
