Topagae was shocked. Quite an interesting little trinket. Though he could see why not many demons were too keen on wresting it from him. Most demons wanted to live forever... After all.
Topagae walked away and patted the mages bottom a bit, and slipped the trinket and a note into one of the hidden pockets he noticed she had. Always full of surprises yup yup.
He burned the note into being with his mind. Another interesting feature of his headgear. It read: "I would never want such a thing as this. I don't want people to know it's destroyed either. Obliterate it. Or keep it somewhere. Don't tell me what." - Topagae
Topagae went to his room and wished his hosts goodnight.

Aeirn and Marisa both greeted Topagae goodnight back. Marisa smiled at Aeirn. "Aeiress dearie, I'm going to hit the sack for the first time in three weeks." she said. Marisa was completely unaware she had a sleepless 3 weeks. But it didn't surprise her either way, she was determined to aid Amemiya as she owed him favours anyway. Marisa went into her room and greeted Aeirn goodnight similarly. She was certainly going to have a good night's rest. That left Aeirn on his own. He had already prepared himself for bed. He stood by the door thinking for about half an hour before deciding it was a good time to go to sleep. He went to his room, which was next to Topagae's room, unlocked the door, and went in before going to sleep...
-*-
In the middle of the night, Aeirn woke up all of a sudden. He was breathing heavily, he had just had a nightmare... White... all white. Figures... all over... looking at me in a scary way... Advancing upon me... not knowing... he thought over and over again. He looked at the bedsheets. They were wet from sweat. Strangely enough, his nightwear was slightly ripped. He was going to have to sew them together again sometime. He tried to go back to sleep, but couldn't.
After a while, without the covers of the bed over him, he cried himself to sleep.

Topagae saw the signs. Abuse, torture, and quite maliscious he sat in his bed listening. When Aeirns heartbeat and slight sobs could be heard through his wall he slipped towards his door and knocked slightly before coming in.
"Dreams are your minds way of trying to tell you things you can't really accept. What did you see?"
Topagae handed Aeirn a tissue while sitting down. He hoped Aeirn was much too polite to wonder exactly how he heard him.

Aeirn saw Topagae walk in. He handed Aeirn a tissue, which Aeirn used to dry his eyes and blow his nose softly. "Everything..." he said, whilst softly sniffing. "Was white... But, I could also see similarly white figures... their outlines black, though shining... they were looking down upon me..." Aeirn continued on. "Looking at me in a strange, odd way. I felt deluded, but they were advancing upon me, and... I didn't know what to do. It... wasn't real, but felt all the more real that way... do you understand me?" he asked. "No, it seems stupid, of course not..."

"A memory, one you probably don't want to remember. Somehow I'm not paticularly surprised at this. Of course it could be nothing, dreams often are. But even the ones that aren't based from reality are important. Sometimes moreso. They say time heals all wounds, but ironically I don't think I have to tell you that's complete bullshit. Without help, wounds of the mind can fester and corrupt our very beings. What scratches at your soul so my friend?"
Topagae stared into Aeirn's eyes. Something he was very sure he was scared of anyone doing. He tried to turn his gaze but Topagae made sure he couldn't.
"What did they do to you?"

Aeirn tried to remember. "I... couldn't... tell. Their hands were coming at me, but certainly not..." Aeirn said, hesitating at that moment. "Certainly not in a helping manner... it was as if..." he sniffed. "They were going to harm me... to do what they wanted to do..." Aeirn said. "I woke up just as all of them had their hands on me..." he said.

Topagae knew the most fragile part of a being was its mind. Even someone who had been around 60000 years could break if the right thing tweaked their soul. So much more this one had so many questions and thought she was incomplete. No matter, Topagae knew what he could do to help, perhaps a little underhanded but....
Topagae drew the small little stylus from his headgear and mentally set it to induce small electronic pulses to induce non-REM sleep. He would not dream this night, and more importantly it would give his shattered subconscious time to muster up some real effort to show him. What he really needed to see.
"You're friend isn't the only one with magic, you will sleep this night and you will not dream. You will awake not even remember time has passed. Tommorow is the start of a day that is the beginning of a time of true happiness for you."
Topagae stroked his friends hair, letting the stylus do its work. All the while staring into his eyes. Something he knew needed to be done.
As Aeirn finally drifted to sleep, Topagae set off to do his work. Conversing with angels always made him on edge, it seemed there was nothing but a million societal courtesies before he could even speak his mind. No matter. Next stop. Celestia.

Aeirn was now asleep, though his eyes were still slightly wet and had not completely recovered. Though, it was most probable that due to the non-REM induced sleep that Topagae had executed, Aeirn was to sleep for the rest of the night without much interruption.

Topagae got a response rather quickly. He never did quite grasp their worlds lack of seasons and days. It was always spring, summer, or fall, depending on how many people's desired what. It was always JUST the right time too. A paradise. Still, the unnaturality of it, scared him a bit. It just didn't feel right if you were there too long. I mean, what's light without darkness?
It took a good half an hour to get rid of the chit chat and pleasantries. What they'd been doing all this time. The weather. Not that it mattered, they both lived in a place where the seasons didn't exactly change.
"It's been a long time Topagae."
"I know."
"What do you need? You didn't seem to enjoy Celestia as much as we'd thought you would. The higher angels thought it was the greatest blessing. To let you into paradise, they thought you'd never leave. But you did. In just 2 weeks."
"I'm no angel, and to me. That place is no paradise."
"Touché, nonetheless it's so great to see you. What's on your mind?"
"You see... I have a sick friend, and Celestia seemed the best option....."

A few hours had passed, and Marisa had woken. Aeirn had fallen off the bed, probably as a result of sleeping so well, but he was still asleep. Marisa could note that she had some business to take care of. Marisa suddenly felt a message in her mind, but it was from Miyuki. Mari, Mari! Miyuki was blurting out in ecstasy. Amemiya, Amemiya, he spoke! HE SPOKE! To where Marisa said That's wonderful. However, it took the best of 30 minutes for Miyuki to blurt out the catch - Amemiya was still in critical condition, and desperately needed more of the last concotion that Marisa had made to keep him awake and conscious. Marisa then hopped to making more vials and flasks of such remedial...
