Topagae had indeed deduced this all already, but confirmation brought his conjecture up to 100%. Good things to know. Redemption, Topagae was glad that he was helping Aeirn with such a worthy cause, even if he didn't realize it yet. Maybe someday he'll forgive himself. Topagae also didn't miss the hidden meanings in the way the mage threw his own rhetoric back at him. He wasn't sure is she was hitting on him, but with pink heart teddy bear panties on, this mage was at least cute. Not too mention smart and wise. Topagae had a thing for smart women, nice bottom too. But on to more relevant thoughts.
"You don't have to worry about me or Aeirn, I'm confident we'll be fine. I'm not so sure he knows exactly what he's looking for yet, but between me and him, I doubt there's many demons who could take both of us on at once. Him and his powers, and me. Well, I have lots of tricks. And don't worry about me ever being afraid of him. Since I first saw him I knew he was harmless, at least, to anyone he truly cared for. I honestly don't see how he manages to be threatening, I could just pinch his cheeks and make baby sounds he's just so damned cute, in a school boy kind of way."

Marisa laughed again. "Don't worry about that, what you said isn't the first time I've heard it." Marisa exclaimed. She saw the empty armchair and sat on it, seeing Aeirn walk out of his room. Aeirn walked out to the living room, decked out in full gear, though it was unusually easy to take off if it wasn't necessary. "I'm ready to go, unless you want to rest here for the time being, in which case, feel free to do so, Topagae." Aeirn said. He nodded at both Topagae and Marisa. He had realized that they were having a chat with each other whilst he was in his room. Secretly, Aeirn was relieved that Marisa was able to not burn his face off at first sight. However, his thoughts were broken when the door was knocked on. "Right, peeps, I'll get that," Aeirn said. He walked towards the door, and opened it, to see a figure of a Shogun stand at the door. It was one of Aeirn's best friends and colleague. "Ah... Hello, Miyuki! It's good to see you today." he said. Miyuki smiled. She was the soft-spoken type who didn't like to talk too much. When she saw Topagae, she had sensed his human-blood and felt good to herself, as Miyuki was once human before sacrificing her humanity to be with her lover. "Why... Who is this?" Miyuki said bluntly. Aeirn explained to her about Topagae. "I... see. That is good, then. I will be staying for a while."
Aeirn went to Topagae and had introduced Miyuki to him. "...You shouldn't attempt conversation with her too much, she's not the most talkative person in the world. But, if you'd like, we could either leave now or spend the rest of this waking day here."

Topagae took stock of the new guest. Another beautiful woman. Another beautiful woman who could cleave him in half, he was seeing a pattern here. He could tell this warrior, no matter how hard she tries, naturally sets back into one of her many comfortable fighting stances. She must have seen many battles in her time. He saw much death in her eyes. Soft spoken and doesn't talk much eh? Well Topagae was always good at getting people to talk.
"Leave? This place is starting to become a party, invite the cat girls in and break out the champagne and techno music."
Topagae said this rather sarcastically while inviting the new warrior to have a seat, offering her a glass of fine wine, which he left all of his hosts wondering EXACTLY where it came from. He then managed to get everyone else a glass and had himself a seat.
"Come in and sit a while. Rest your body and mind and tell me about yourself. I seem to be making all kinds of friends today."

Miyuki could sense something within Topagae that calmed her, that took her away from the fact her lover was suffering a grave illness, and that she was trying her hardest to help him to recover. She sighed, but smiled. She felt like she could unload all her troubles upon Topagae, from some strange reason. Marisa could feel it too. "Go on, Miyuki, tell him..." Marisa said, secretly urging Miyuki to tell him what was on her mind. Miyuki secretly did want to.
"Well..." Miyuki started. "As you already know... my name is Miyuki, and... You might have seen it, but I have had my fair share of battles... Right now, I just want to have a break from everything... you know?" she said. "I actually used to be a human, much like yourself... but I sacrificed it, in order to be with my lover." she continued on. "However, he suffers a terrible illness, and I love him too much to have to see him go... for him to be away from my arms..." she blurted out, looking down in disappointment. "I just came here to take a break from all that pressure, and to see if Mari has devised a possible remedial for it..." she concluded. Miyuki sniffed, graciously taking the wine and thanking Topagae for it and drinking it.
Aeirn could see it. Topagae would really be nice to have around here, especially since his presence quells their anger for some unexplored reason... Aeirn smiled and to himself, under his breath said "I really thank you for entering my life..."

Topagae was bursting with respect and admiration for this woman. To give up ones humanity to be with their lover? How ironic that makes them so much more human. Aiern whispered something and Topagae cursed inwardly he didn't have any gear on, all well.
"Fear not kind maiden, I have several solutions to your problems. First of all you happen to be surrounded by good people who want nothing more then for you to feel better, so..."
Topagae had a cadre of tricks for just about every occasion, he switched his portable hole to "Party" and pulled out a very beautiful flower. It came from Celestia itself, they called it a "Heaven Lily". He was saving it for a very special occasion, but when he thought about it, this woman deserved it greatly.
Topagae flourished it and pinned it in her hair with a smile and a gesture. Topagae knew that besides the mage, they probably had no knowledge of Celestia or it's random fauna. But this flower was special.
"This is a rare flower, it was a gift from an angel who could not pay me in anything but such things. Of course down here such things are usually regarded as quite worthless, but, this particular flower gives off a magical scent. It is said to give answers, when you truly need it. It's yours now, use it when all hope is lost for it will always be a glimmer of light when your world is consumed in darkness."
Topagae took a seat and let the ladies admire the flower, Topagae has had it for months, and even he couldn't help but stare at the otherwordly beauty of it.
"As for your other problem, you're lucky to have come at such an oppertune time. I deal in information, rest assured I will tap every source at my disposal in search for a cure for your lovers ailment. I happen to have quite a few angels who owe me a great deal, and I'm willing to bet that is not an option you could've turned to until now. Which I'm sure is frustrating since they deal almost exclusively in the art of healing. I'm sure they can find a way to help you. Given enough time."
Topagae sipped his wine. Even he was a little bit impressed with himself. He was hoping the warrior would take this well. Some warriors would die before accepting something that could be considered charity, he hoped she'd make an exception. Though, the tear that strode down the warriors cheek was more then worth any effort he would have to expunge for her, and Topagae involuntarily smirked. A true smile for someone truly happy.

Miyuki was quite literally, shocked. Marisa smiled to herself, admiring this Topagae's amazing wit. She thought to herself of this young man's altruistic intentions, and it showed very blatantly. Meanwhile, Aeirn had a big smile on his face. He had been, along with Marisa, been desperately trying to aid Miyuki's fallen partner, and with Topagae having connections with Celestia, they were sure to be able to find some aid for her lover, the out-of-character Divine Majin Amemiya. Miyuki said to Topagae, with tears of happiness in her eyes. "Now... now my dear Amemiya will come back to me..." she said, almost on the verge of crying. Marisa went close to Topagae's ear and whispered in his ear. "Miyuki's lover is actually a very, very nice human-turned-demon... a Divine Majin, surprise surprise..." and then broke off quickly. Marisa winked mischievously at Topagae as Miyuki could only smile silently, thanking Topagae to herself many, many times.
Aeirn was still smiling. "That flower... It looks very familiar. I don't want to shock you, but does that mean you have connections with Celestia?" he said. Marisa then butted in, whilst hugging the now crying Miyuki to reassure that this was all in truth. "Indeed, if this is such a truth, it would be no coincidence that you possess a Heaven Lily..." she said. Aeirn then spoke this time. "I hear Heaven Lilies are very difficult to get..." Aeirn said. "I've only ever read about it, hee..."
Miyuki stopped crying, let go of Marisa, and looked at Topagae, still smiling very gratefully for the charitability of Topagae. "I... I don't know what to say! Really...! I... don't know why you suddenly do this for me... Mari, Aeiress and only a other few people here really had the effort to help me... No one else in their right mind decided to help me... so, I am really... I don't know..."
Marisa and Aeirn both thanked Topagae. "Well, rest assured, this night will be a night full of questions!" Marisa exclaimed.

"I've never made it a habit to hide anything from anyone, not that they often believe me, or less so that I hide anything from a friend. Like I said, I deal in information. I receive employment from anyone and everyone, name a race and faction, I've probably done a job for them. I try to shy away from killing, but when it comes to one demon paying me to eliminate another bloodthirsty demon, I'm not too picky. Angels are interesting, they often use me as a news source of the Netherworld, or just to do the many seemingly wondrous things they can't do themselves. I can't go into detail about all my jobs, I've had hundreds, and some are quite repetitive and boring. But that flower is special."
Topagae took a pause and sipped his wine. He was happy to see tears of joy coming from the warrior, but he hoped an explanation would soothe her skepticism, and assure her hopes.
"I was scouting a barren wasteland owned by a demon who told me there was a pest that needed getting rid of, and I figured, hey. Easy money. As I came upon a figure, I saw that it was obviously injured. Scared, weak, and had NO idea how to survive in this wasteland. I approached downwind hoping to kill it quickly and save it from suffering, but as I neared I saw it had wings. Not too uncommon mind you, but these wings were white as snow and pure as silk. An angel? In hell? I can see why this demon would consider it a pest, and from it's burns I can tell the demon had tried to kill it and failed. I remembered then that the demon looked quite injured when he hired me, I figured he needed me because I was fast, and the angel was already weak, so I wouldn't have trouble. I was conflicted, I don't kill sentient beings unless they're a threat to others, I only took the job because when the demon said 'pest' I figured he meant an animal or some such. Leave it to demons to consider Angels vermin and to call an exterminator."
"So, I approached the angel, which wasn't too hard, the angel wasn't too wary of humans, and we began to talk. She was skeptical of my intentions, she WAS in hell after all, but after a rousing argument over the nature of good in the world. She deemed me at the very least acceptable enough to help her. Angels can be arrogant pricks sometimes."
"She questioned why, if I was righteous, would I ever be in the employ of demons. Whom of course, are all evil, and of course, should be eradicated. Typical angel rhetoric. After proving that good is not inherent, and that there ARE indeed evil angels, and good demons, she had to concede that the right thing and good are slippery at best, not too mention that I could've killed her 100 times over and didn't so it's not like she had much of a choice."
"I took her back to my place, and went back to the demon with a feather and a menacing grin. I took his money and shot him in the back of his head as he went to put it on his trophy mantle. Apparently the monster captured angels and demons and hunted them for sport. He called me in when this one had proved too powerful."
"The angel of course chastised me for killing the demon, which I retorted was ignorant, considering the stance she took was that all demons should be killed anyway. I can't detail all our conversations, but suffice to say, I taught her a great deal about the realities of good and evil that day. She in turn took me to Celestia. I was allowed to stay for one day, because of my outstanding service to their cause. I made many contacts, and am allowed to come whenever they beckon me, or once every three months to visit and enjoy myself, I am also allowed to bring as many guests as I wish. I brought all my demon friends from the bar the first time, JUST to test their mettle. That was a fun day. And lastly, that flower was given to me as a reward for my services. Picked from some heavenly garden where it blooms once every hundred years or something."
"Either way, the point is I'm pretty sure that even if you had a way to contact an angelic source. I know that they wouldn't help you, they would never accept someone who gave up their soul as worth helping. Luckily for you, I don't have to tell them who I'm helping, and even if they find out, I know Shari will help me. She owes me her life, and then some."
"Lastly, you ask why I would do such a thing? When no one else but these fine ladies, who in their right mind would help you? I would help you. I guess I'm not quite right in the mind then, but quite honestly, I suppose I'm simply a freak, but how could I not help you? You're a good person, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I'm afraid I can't be any more specific then that, I try to do the right thing, and sometimes it's hard. But with you, it's quite obvious. And as for your questions, ask away, I'll answer all the best I can."
And with that Topagae started to listen. Sipping his wine and munching on cake(Nobody knew where it came from) while he listened.

Marisa set straight to the point. She wanted to interrogate Topagae and ask him how he arrived here. The straight facts, and his experience in doing mercenary acts for those who need it and are willing to pay for it. Marisa took a deep breath and decided to ask them all at once, probably to test how sharp Topagae's mind was.
"...Right... I hope you're ready for this, then," Marisa said, before nodding. "How long has it been since you came here? How did you come to be here, anyway? It must've been a bad entrance if you're so afraid. Also, what's your past as a mercenary figure? How much experience did you have? I'm curious to know." Marisa finished, poking Topagae once or twice in impatience, and pulling off a borgeoise face.
Miyuki was still smiling in gratefulness, and decided to shoot some of her own questions as well. "I... Well, all I just want to know is... have you ever been in a serious relationship with anyone? Have you ever known what it felt like... to see someone you care for, fall ill to the point of death?" she said humbly, and not in a depressing way at all. Miyuki shook her head and hoped that Topagae would not take the question the wrong way.
Aeirn shook his head, he had learned all he wanted to learn for himself. "Good luck, Topagae. You'll need it, answering their questions~" he said, in an encouraging manner.

Topagae was barraged with skeptical, or personal questions all at once by the mage. He decided to be snarky and decisive, but he got the humor of being poked. Mages rarely poke. How cute, he decided to be nice about it.
"Since I awoke it's been roughly 6 years. I don't know how I came to be here. The entrance WAS a bit rough, almost being devoured in the first 30 seconds of my existence. My existence as a mercenary came to be as I was quickly offered a job by my current landlord once he realized I had just survived a place where no one usually returns from. Seeing as I had just been born, I suppose back then I had no real experience, just strange programmed knowledge and a blank slate of memories. Though to date I've got 6 years and hundreds of jobs worth of experience."
The warriors questions were more serious, she wanted to know why someone who probably has never loved. Never had friends. Would care about her. Good questions, he didn't really know himself, but she certainly deserved an answer.
"No, I have never been in any romantic relationship, I'm usually too busy trying not to die. You are all my first and only friends in the Netherworld, with the exception of my landlord. I have hundreds of connections and connections to connections here, but they aren't really FRIENDS, yah know? Shari, the angel I rescued and a few other Celestial beings call me friend in heaven. Other then that, I suppose I have a severe lack of friends for someone who thinks of the concept so highly. As for your other question... Many times have I seen those whom didn't deserve to be hurt, harmed a great deal, and I've brought many back from the brink of death. Some didn't make it. Shari was the only one who became my friend of the ones who did."
Topagae leaned back. Painful memories. He looked into a candle flame. Waiting for more questions. Aierns quest seems almost impossible. The warrior's quest. Plausible, but it will be extremely difficult...
On the other hand. Aeirn would find many more answers in Celestia then in this godawful place, maybe things will work out...

Aeirn looked outside. The exterior was empty, the two Bastets from earlier were gone, and the dead of the night was approaching. It was indeed getting quite late. Marisa took a note of it too, and started intensifying the lights on the candles whilst Aeirn closed the curtains. Miyuki nodded and smiled. "I'm afraid I'd like to stay a bit and chat a bit longer, but I want to return to Amemiya..." she said. "I bid you goodbye, and I hope to have a chat with you again." Miyuki propped her black, obsidian sword (that was reminiscent of the legendary Yoshitsuna, but not quite it) along her shoulder, opened the door and walked out. Aeirn and Marisa both looked at Topagae. "Don't worry, Miyuki is very strong, just like Amemiya. She can take care of herself in the night." Aeirn said politely and reassuringly.
"Believable enough," Marisa said, disregarding completely what Aeirn had just said. "That's a nice little tale." she continued on. Aeirn lightly tapped Marisa on the shoulder. "Mari, you're not normally this blunt about things." Aeirn said.
"Ah, shaddup, Aeiress. I'm just tired." Marisa said. She was now propped in a lying position on the armchair, gazing at the ceiling. Aeirn thought through things for a moment, but something struck his mind when Topagae mentioned something about Celestial beings calling him a friend in heaven. ...Celestial beings... That seems vaguely familiar... Aeirn thought. When I was sentient at 245, I could remember it... But... what was it? I... I don't know.
Aeirn looked peturbed, obviously ticked at something that struck in his mind, but didn't quite click.
In any case, Marisa then asked "So, you guys? You want to turn in for the night?"
