It had been quite an interesting month this last one. As Frost continued to train the new addition to his forces, Baal wondered if the young demon had the right stuff to be of any use to him. What's more was the fact that there was some demon out there who had decided that his troops were an easy target for killing. This bothered Baal, as Joan had only recently recovered from her severe injuries. Baal tried to picture their faces.... "Corsair with his rugged features-- a true beast of the sea."; but this new demon. He had not heard of her before. Could she have the power to even overthrow him? Moreso, could she be of any use to him, or would she even agree to such a proposal. Baal couldn't seem to figure out any way that he could convince this demon to join his forces. She was a rogue that needed to be crushed under his thumb. After this, no one would dare oppose him again.
After much deliberation, Baal came to the conclusion that it was time for conquest. Baal had grown bored waiting in the shadows and waiting. Now was the right time to strike. Baal's ninja scout had informed him that some of Laharl's demons were separated from the rest and involved in fishing and the like. This separation could be the needed element in order to destroy a fraction of those Krichevskoy fools. Or this could in fact be yet another opportunity to convert these demons into his dark forces. A sly smile crept across his face. Baal chuckled to himself. They are really making this too easy for me. Soon the netherverse will be under my control. Did that foolish Krichevskoy think he could really make a difference?
Baal had made up his mind, and now it was time to make the preparations needed to carry out this campaign. He needed to strategically place demons in the right places for an ambush of the weak demons. But who to send first... He knew that Joan would be the best candidate due to the ability of hers to fly. Even though she was still in a weakened state from her last duty, Baal did not hesitate to select her for the job. He had no use for weak willed demons. Baal sat up in his throne and his voice boomed across the grande hall--
"Bring me the angel!"
