Their normal textbooks had a similar message... demons were evil, demons did awful things, blah blah blah. This one was more objective and went over the physics of things and why demons did what they did.
There were humanoid demons who took several jobs; the main difference between the demonic humanoids, and humans/Celestians were the pointed ears. Some had a tail, but normally under rare circumstance and power level.
Half-breeds were not uncommon, but most were put into the common class, unless the son or daughter of a high-ranking demon (though half-demonic breeds tended to be a little stronger than normal if given enough time to power up).
Then they went through common species between Celestia and the Netherworld, such as the mighty dragon and the Prinnies. Giving the run down on what Prinnies were, and how Dragons in Celestia tend to be advice givers in exchange for a hoarde instead of killing people and building their treasure that way.
The book also detailed for more powerful demons, such as the mighty Majin and the Gargoyle. How Pixies knew how to cause status ailments, and Reapers had a long range of attack and so on.
And then the final chapter was of the "Fallen Angels". Rare cases where angels who had defied the law, but were not eligible for execution would be exiled to the Netherworld. Clerics and Knights in the Netherworld are often thought to be the offspring of these formidable foes, but the last recorded fallen angel of that book was the ancient "Moronai". Studies today would recall Ophelia as getting the boot from Celestia in more recent history (and becoming the Demon Overlord Valvoga).
While the two studied, Master Lamington oversaw the Prinnies as they took the stand down, leaving the two students to their own devices.

Lenore finished the segment fairly quickly before leaning back, suddenly feeling a strange weight in her stomach. To say that Celestia was unlike what she had pictured the afterlife was an understatement. She'd never been a particularly religious woman--even though she held great faith. She'd never quite understood exactly in what. But reading now about Fallen Angels caused a blanket of discomfort to fall over her and she felt a need to clarify this matter further with Lamington.
Angels, Demons, the Fallen. She still had trouble believing that things could be so easily categorized. It had been worse when she believed it to be only two groups, but now that this third section had been adding instead of alieving some of her skepticism it made her a little nervous. For what? She didn't think she ever need fear becoming one herself--of that she was almost fairly certain but the prospect made her question her reason for become an angel instead of just another prinny or a normal deceased human being. She wished to know more of what happened to those neither human nor demon---if there were such people and just what made anyone significant enough to have a different fate then others.
It was something beyond her scope she felt, she wasn't exactly sure how to word it, wasn't even sure if it were something appropriate to ask but he had been kind thus far. If he couldn't answer her questions for whatever reason, so be it, but she might as well ask.
"I'll be back in a minute." she said to Tenrielle before heading over to the Seraph.
"Sir Lamington? May I...speak with you?"

He was just finishing up taking down the stand as he smiled over to his young student. The Prinnies waddled off to carry the parts back to the temple.
"Something troubling you, Lenore?"
Lamington had a decent idea of what it was... the angels had a tendancy to sweep the fallen under the rug because they would rather kill first and consider it a pious thing to kill a traitor. Still, it could be a question about demons.

Tenrielle lifted her head and nodded absently as Lenore went off to Lamington. Unlike what Lenore was thinking, Ten had two very different ideas in mind.
First, the book was rubbish. Well, mostly rubbish. All of the things that her parents and sister had taught her contradicted what the book said about evil. "Sure, demons are mean. But evil? C'mon," she mumbled to herself. "They just need some good ol' fashioned discipline.."
... which she couldn't wait to hand out.
Second, the mention of fallen angels was quite interesting. Mama, Papa, and her sis never told her about those. But more importantly, THIS would be the disguises they were looking for. "Sure, we'd be wimpy fallen angels," she said, closing the book and standing up. "But it's much better n' a prinny costume, I would think."
She glanced over at Lenore and Lamington.

"It is not that easy to simply say you are a fallen angel, Tenrielle... many in Celestia would slay you without a second thought if they even heard you were one. Though uncommon, they are feared even more than demons." Lamington warned.
He paused, not being questioned before about the Fallen in a long time.
"As you may or may not know, angels are different beings to demons and humans in that our souls are one with our bodies... meaning that, though we are immortal, if we are truly slain, we cease to exist. This is why our kind can obtain more power than most races, and this is why the harming of our kind is seen as a stern crime... thus, in passing judgement against angels who severely ruin the balance, we have "The Garden" for extreme cases. Because at least they are allowed to exist in some form... in other cases, the angel is forever exiled from Celestia, and if they return, they may be executed on sight without undeniable proof that God has forgiven them..."

Tenrielle let this sink in to her brain. But the idea certainly seemed sound in her mind.
"But sir - and sorry to interrupt, Lenore. I'll shut up in a minnit. - if this is a secret mission - and I don't mean to question your authority for a minnit - how would the angels know that we're disguising ourselves as Fallen? For all they know, me n' Lenore could be going on a mission to Earth. And if you did tell them where we really were, you can say we're just disguised."
She sighed, shrugging her shoulders. "I guess whatever Lenore wants to go with is fine by me. I just think disguising ourselves as Fallen makes a lot more sense."

Lenore nodded to show Tenrielle was free to speak. It was a difficult decision to make. When Tenrielle had suggested the Fallen Angel idea she'd also thought they'd found a perfect solution to their predicament. But with Lamington's news that put a damper on things...seemed they were stuck with the original, less appealing plans.
It also puzzled her more but for now she decided her own questions that didn't pertain to the mission should be put aside. "It is a good idea, Tenrielle but if what Lamington says it is true it might draw attention in any case, even from demons. If fallen angels are as rare as they seem we'd certainly be viewed as more than insignificant. I think it would just be best to stick with our original plan and find some way to disguise our wings as demon ones."

Hmm...
"We could pretend we're angel cosplayers," she suggested. "I mean, if push comes to shove. Just wear cloaks and say we're going to some party."
Tenrielle winced. Would lying be all right for an angel? If it was for the sake of this mission, if lots of things were at stake...

"Perhaps wearing robes and going as ghosts?" Lamington suggested. "After all, we do work with the Holy Spirit. It may be slightly uncomfortable in warmer areas of the Netherworld, so be careful not to get dehydrated."
Lamington was patient as always. His students at least had good imagination. He knew that this would be interesting to say the least.

Wearing robes would inhibit movement, she thought, but... "Hey, ghosts is a good idea. But can we just wear make-up instead, sir? My sister has lots of make-up at home we could use."
She cleared her throat, thoughts of her sister filling her head. What would her sister think of her now! She'd be so proud!
