Sylvanse is an original roleplay story that I've been fiddling with for some time; it's basically my brainchild, since I've put quite a bit of effort into the backstory and certain characters.
----------------------------------
HISTORY
The continent of Delmar has existed since time immemorial; for as long as any of the sentient inhabitants can remember, three major cities have graced the continent's lands: Sylvanse, De Mecio, and Jierdan. Each has their own distinct culture and customs; they could technically be considered seperate countries, but due to some tradition long forgotten they are called cities despite their huge size.
Sylvanse is arguably the most advanced; it is full of spellcasters and artisans who peddle their wares to all types of folk. The king, Lord Hraesvorn II, is a kind and mild-mannered monarch.
Jierdan is the military city; they live Spartan lives free of luxuries and delights. All of their men and some of their women work to attain the rank of Master Knight, the incredible warriors who, to them, embody physical perfection. Their Emperor, Kono, is arguably the greatest warrior the Delmar continent has ever seen.
De Mecio is a somewhat less civilized place (or, as former King of Jierdan Nemo Malevon said, De Mecio is "a filthy place full of degenerates and sickening savages who deserve to be put to the sword for the atrocities that they commit". He was referring, supposedly, to the De Mecians' lax attitude towards sexuality and modesty). Their queen, Terra, is a hard woman with no mercy for the weak or the overly-cruel.
Up until twenty years ago, all three of these cities were involved in an all-encompassing conflict called the Centurion War. It was called such because of the length of the war, and because of certain individuals who fought in it. Each city had used some form of summoning to call forth a mighty Immortal Centurion to wage war for them.
For Sylvanse, the Spellknight Xumevyn fought. He was a mighty, mysterious man who wielded a thin-linked silver chain wrapped around his left arm.
For De Mecio, a woman who was simply known as NEKO fought. Her reflexes and speed was unmatched by any.
For Jierdan, a man named Drim battled. He wielded an enormous bastard sword that could cleave through the strongest armour.
These three Immortals seemed to fight for the rulers; however, they were actually the ones who convinced the rulers to continue fighting, even though none of the three could even remember why the war had begun in the first place.
The battle was fierce, and it waged non-stop for over a century. However, two decades ago, all three Immortals vanished, two of them while fighting each other. No one could offer an explanation as to why this had happened, but freed of the influence of the Immortals, none of the three cities wished to continue the pointless conflict. A truce was reached, and peace reigned for two full decades.
Now, however, rumours of an Immortal being sighted has stirred the beginnings of rebellion in Sylvanse. Some wish to bring the war back to the forefront, while others desperately wish to keep peace.

RULES AND STIPULATIONS
Almost anyone will be accepted into this, however I don't want any non-humans here unless I clear it. All of the characters mentioned in the history above are open and up for grabs.
Other than that, similar RP rules apply as the DG and DG2 roleplay. If there are any questions, feel free to PM me.
To join, all you have to do is PM me a profile with this format:
FULL NAME: Self-explanatory.
AGE: Self-explanatory.
OCCUPATION: Almost anything imaginable.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A picture will *not* suffice. I want to see how well you can describe your character in text!
ROLE: How you intend to influence events in Sylvanse.
---------------------------------
NOTE: The three Immortals ARE the antagonists.. I've had some problems explaining that in the past, and I just want to get that out of the way. They're considered the bad guys. Okay? XD
