I got X-Edge for my birthday, and I've been playing it like crazy! That's why I haven't really been on. But I'm stuck at a part, and I wanted to know if anyone had any tips for me! I got most of the way through the game, but when I got to Ida, things got REALLY tough! I barely barely managed to beat Ryurihi (EN: Reicher), but after that, I have to fight Bourd Rade, and I just can't win! My party is Raze, Raizen, Zelos, and Aurica. Anyone know a good way to beat that guy?

I've been very conflicted over whether or not to get into the game on account of the grinding required, and some technical issues. Are they really so bad? I really wish I had some advice, sorry I only have questions.

I think the game is great! My only main gripe with it is the difficulty curve, if you're not expecting it, you can easily get in over your head by simply moving on to the next area. But that makes winning all the sweeter! I don't see why it was recieved so poorly. Also, the battle system brings back fond memories of Valkyrie Profile. The music isn't that bad, either. My favorite (so far) is the second "generic battle" theme.

Since I'm the only one who have that game, I think I might help you out. First, I need to know what difficult are you on and if you are on easy then here's a tip. Since you main Zelos, Aurica, Raze, and Raizen. I would put them separate, put Aurica and Zelos at the back of the two corners while the other two are in front. You want to let the three attackers attack Bourd while Aurica just do the healing, you can also use Zelos do the healing items if necessary. I know Bourd will always use EX Skills to take you down every time you're so close to beat him, so watch out. It'll be easier if you have a rail gun one of the most powerful weapon in the game and boost up it stats. You'll get one if you over kill Lazerus in final battle, one of soul event where Reicher test Raze to battle against a giant robot, or spend 1500 TP.

First of all, I think you're thinking of the wrong fight, I'm talking about the one at the very end of the game. Second of all, I totally just won! I have the sequence after you beat him on the screen RIGHT NOW! I put my characters in a way that he'd attack Raizen, who I buffed up with a Black Frame I stole from Ryurihi, which gives him like 8000 more HP, letting him survive almost anything Bourd threw at him, except multiple specials (which he DID do!) After that, I just had Zelos do nothing, and have Raze use Snatch then The Hunter, once each, which cost less AP than he recovered. Since my AP was high, he didn't get two turns in a row, so I could just keep Aurica on revival/healing duty. I've gotta say, if Ryurihi was hard, and Bourd was harder, I don't really WANT to know what's next! But I'm gonna find out anyway, so here I go!
[Edit]If you want to know my equipment, Raze is equipped with Krutana, Three Stars and a Dragon Ring, plus the Showy School Uniform costume. Raizen has the Futsunomitama, the aforementioned Black Frame, and an Ogre Ring, and the KHSIER costume. Zelos has the Hydro Pain, Raitei, and an Aura Ring, and the costume Seaside Tree. And finally, Aurica has a Recovery Chip, Raitei (again) and Sharp Sense. Her costume is the Angel Robe. Of course, all my equipment has a bunch of stuff added onto it with the Composite function, so you can't really go by the base stats. And I'm on Normal difficulty.

That's good! If you are planning on getting Truth End, my advice is to beat normal mode again since you are going to have a hell of hard time to beat hard mode with Truth End. You should have almost everything that you synthesis items and weapons. Not to mention, Party Points. Good luck!

Well, I actually already beat the game. The bosses just got a LOT easier after Bourd Rade, even the final boss was kind of weak compared to him. Plus, the final boss didn't even have special music like in most games! Since I already beat the game now, I can look at guides for the good ending, since there's nothing to spoil for me anymore. Anyway, since my question is already outdated, let's turn this into a discussion about the game itself! First order of business! Everyone name your favorite character! If you can't decide, then pick more than one!

York, Mimi, and Vivi. York is cool, yet he never give up. Mimi is funny and Vivi is the best healing.
