www.marketwatch.com/story/disney-to-acquire-marvel-entertainment-2009-08-31-9050From what I can tell, it's mostly an investment and I think Disney really isn't going to meddle in how they do business, much in the same way they left Miramax alone. Fanboys will howl at the moon, but I don't think it will be that big a deal. I'm still a little wary of so much interlocking ownership, but that's a general concern and not specific to this merger.

It seems like such a random move. I mean, how many Cinderella\Spider Man crossover fics have you seen? (Not that I spend my free time reading crossovers... >.>) Still, imagine if Marvel made a movie with Pixar in Disney Digital 3-D. "The Incredible Hulk vs. The Incredibles" or "Spider-man meets the Hunchback of Notre Dame." The crossover possibilities are endless!
...Not that I'd know about that... >.>

the only thing I could see coming out of it would be the possibility of a marvel mmpr cross over, aside from that if Disney meddles all it will do it sink it's new ship fast.
