www4.funimation.com/video/?page=show&b=281Some of you may or may not remember a little visual novel made for the DVD format called Phantom of Inferno. It holds a place very near and dear to my heart, even if it required significant patience to really get into. A couple years ago, the suits decided that it was important to not leave the fans hanging and adapt the story into an anime. Overall a very rightous idea, but a few things got lost in translation and the end result was something that only could be recommended to a very devout fan. To our good fortune, the suits realized that part of the problem was skimping on the quality and condensing a large chunk of story into three episodes. Thus, we have a new anime that is better paced, looks hella good, and remains faithful to the source material. Funimation is allowing many episodes of the sub to be viewed on their website. Frankly, I wish they would stop fiddling around and release it on DVD, but that's just me. A word of caution, the content may be a little too much for the little ones, so if you may have objections to graphic violence or... other stuff, then you may not want to watch.
