I don't know why this has been happening, but its been having negative effects on me and 90% of my dreams have been NOTHING but nightmares that to me are "disturbing". (rarely are my dreams ever good, all my dreams are ever about are me committing suicide, someone trying to kill me, me running away from a freaky ass monster, my family trying to kill me, or me killing someone). So, in my dream I was being chased by an abstract and surreal creature/monster. I ran down a flight of stairs then jumped down the rest because they were very long and swirling. At the last step, there was a door, so I opened it, closed it, then locked it so the creature couldn't get inside and kill me. When I had went inside after opening the door, it turned out that I was now in some kind of apartment room. I saw a 10 year old red-headed girl with long hair loose in overalls watching TV. Looking at the TV, there was nothing but static showing. I asked the girl a question, but she didn't respond. I asked her again, but still she didn't respond. I grabbed her to make her face me and saw that SHE HAD NO FACE AND SHE WAS BLOODY ALL OVER WITH BUGS EATING HER FLESH.

Hm, the dreams all revolve around death, or rather the threat of death. Do you feel safe where you live, go to school, etc.? The part about the person in a chair with a TV showing snow is like a scene in a horror flick, do you often watch such movies or only seen one (in part or whole) that made a strong impression?
Dreams signify what you want them to, what immediately comes to mind when you reflect on the dream, and what goes through your head as you experience the dreams?

Well, the only thing I can think of is that something DID happen to me when I was 8, but I can't remember what it was, but all I know is that since then, thats when the whole thing started.

You really have no idea? Hm, I guess it can't be helped. For the first several months of my infancy, my family lived in what my dad dubbed "the roach infested apartment." I have no memory of the time, but I'm guessing when my parents weren't looking one of the damned bugs crawled on me or something. I assume as much because as far back as I can recall, I had a strong revulsion to roaches. It's so strong, if I touch a roach with something to kill it or dump the body I become very nauseated.
Point is that it may not be possible to know exactly what happened, and there's a chance that you may not be able to get over the way you've been wired. However, I don't think it's entirely futile. Are there any identifiable triggers to the dreams? Stress? Certain situations? Certain images?
