The period of dusk was enclosed with a strange silence as the forest that AGkins left has become much quieter. AGkins and Leko have separated paths, as the male Nekomata has decided that it is getting late so he had to go home and visit little AGkins some other time. AGkins traveled happily as she strolls on her way back home. Once arriving, she slammed the door of their home and shouted raising her hands upwards with a gleeful face, "Nyuu~! Yaaaaay~! Kitty-chama is back home, nya~!"
"Hey, you little pipsqueak! Where have you been? We’ve been worried sick about you!" Asked Zhaya, one of the Nekomatas who adopted AGkins and became AGkins’ elder sister.
"Nyuu~! Kitty-chama was just fishing, nya~! And nuuuuuuuuuuuu~! Kitty-chama no pipsqueak, nyuuu~!", an upset AGkins reacted as she puffed her cheeks. She dragged herself onto the table by stomping her foot while walking; her arms down and clenched her fists.
"Owieeeeee! That’s just what I like about you! When you’re upset, you look more adorable that your cheeks look just like tomatoes! May I please squeeze those red, juicy tomatoes?" Zhaya happily responded while quickly rubbing her paws. "Nuuuuuuuu~!" AGkins shook her head three times then faced at Zhaya. "Bleaaaaahh!" AGkins being more upset than ever just stuck her tongue out then folded her arms and looked away. "Hmph, nyuu~!"
"Ahahaha! Silly, silly." Zhaya scratched the back of her head as her other hand was waving up and down in front of her. "Well either way, youngsters like you need to remember what time little kitty cats should go back home. Your elder sisters wouldn’t want to worry about you. Do…..you…..un-der-staaaaannnnnnd?" Zhaya put her elbow on the table and leaned her head on her fist as she winked on AGkins.
"My, my, what fun." Another Nekomata who was older and quietly listening has spoken after sipping some milk tea. "Zhaya, you know you can never teach an old kitty cat new tricks. AGkins is a growing girl. As long as she knows what she’s doing, we’re sure she’s going to be fine. I trust her and I believe she won’t bring herself into trouble." She proceeded to sip more milk tea then continued explaining. "That’s what growing up is all about. It’s just a matter of taste."
"Nyuuu~! Shalulia-oneesama! Chuu have always been on Kitty-chama’s side, nyuu~! Yaaaaaay, nya~!" AGkins happily responded with her mouth open wide with glee. "Mmfufufu, of course. You are our family’s pride and joy. A flower in full bloom cherished with nature’s proper care and love. You’re that beautiful, sweet flower!" Shalulia, the eldest sister in the family, happily rubbed little AGkins’ head as the little Nekomata just giggled with delight.
"You're spoiling her again, big Ne-chan!" Zhaya muttered with her eyes squinting on her elder sister.
"Say, AGkins! Tomorrow, we’re going treasure hunting! We’re taking you with us! What do you say?" Shalulia leaned on AGkins with a wink. "Big Ne-chan! Why did you tell her?" Zhaya stood up with her paws planted firmly on the table. "If we take her with us, what are we going to do for provisions? Ahahaha…" Zhaya laughed with an expression of the upper half of her face turning black. A big sweat drop fell from her head with her face still smiling but showing her disapproval. Her smile was slowly twitching.
"Don’t worry about that. We’ll have enough provisions to handle. I’m sure she’ll listen to us, right little AGkins?" Shalulia turned to AGkins with a wink. "Mmhmm! Absolutely, Shalulia-oneesama, nya~! Kitty-chama excited to go tweashoow hunting, nyuu~! But why, nya~?" AGkins asked with curiousity.
"Don’t tell anyone. We found this treasure map. It has some clues and some verses written on it. Judging by the illustrations, this is no fake, as the drawings are professionally done. See here?" Shalulia pointed on one area of the map. "That’s [you]KitCat Village[/you]. This is where we are! Now this X on the other side of the map is somewhere near by a few miles west of this village! If we follow the path correctly, we should arrive exactly at the X spot! Awesome isn’t it?"
"Uuuuuuu~! After Kitty-chama eats dinner, may Kitty-chama take the map with her in bed, nya~? Kitty-chama wants to keep the map until tomorrow pwease? Teehee!" AGkins extends her arms forward and grabs the map.
"Mmfufu, you already got a hold of it, but hold it tight and take good care of it, ne?" Shalulia calmly responded with a smile. "Geez.. Oh great!" Zhaya sighed after another huge sweat drop crawled downwards her head and face palmed.
Two hours have passed, and everyone’s already in bed. AGkins was all cozy in her sleep as she snugged tight of the map on her embrace.
4 AM: Little AGkins could not sleep anymore. She was in a window staring at the bright red moon in the sky. She was excited to start their treasure-hunting adventure today. She was holding the map outside the window looking if it was the direction to the West. All of a sudden, a strong gust of wind came and rustled on the windows. AGkins had to cover her eyes due to the strong wind. Unfortunately, the strong winds blew the map off from her grasp. AGkins was shocked that the map has been blown away! "Nuuuuuuu~! Kitty-chama’s Onee-chan might get mad that Kitty-chama lost the map, nya~!"
She had to take immediate action. She leaped from the window and fell face first on the grass outside. "Nuuuuu~! Nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu~!" It was painful, but she stood up wiping her face and proceeded to run towards the direction of the wind.
Two hours later, in a forest near an unknown valley, the little Nekomata was sitting just below a tree, leaning her back against the trunk. She was tired and trying to catch her breath. It was strange that the wind stagnates in this direction, probably because of the steep cliff towering high into the sky that only demons who possess the ability of flight can easily fly up to the top. Noticing the cliff, she drew her knees closer to her from her seat so she can place her arms and cover her face in it. The little Nekomata was AGkins all along. AGkins started to cry silently from her seat, hating to admit that she had lost the treasure map. It was already daytime and the chirping of birds were heard from up above the branches of the tall tress.
