Should children be given sex education in schools, or should this be the responsibility of the parents? How should it be taught?
If this debate is about whether there should be any discussion of sex whatsoever in schools, it becomes very hard for the Opposition to argue. A more balanced debate tackles whether such discussion is limited to encouraging sexual abstinence (refraining from sexual activity until the age of consent or marriage), or whether it is assumed that the students will be sexually active and should therefore be taught to practise safe sex.

Well, technically, the children, or some...are sexually active as you said. The way it was taught here at my school was rather...uneducational. They only showed slides of the opposite sex's organs. Girls and guy were separated into different rooms. Girls got to see little richard, guys got to see girl stuff... And that's it...And of course, we'd have to have parents' assent first. And...well...girls got..period items after, and guys got deoderant. My school didn't say squat about safe sex. But, hey...watching movies helped more..And I would prefer sex after marraige..it'd have more meaning and would be a better thing to do..

There was actually no "sex education" subject taught with us in our school when I was still a student. This was a matter that would be partially discussed in some aspects of Theology.
I think that schools would provide an appropriate environment for teaching, but with too much company involved, it's likely that some individuals would feel a bit insecure with their fellow students who would likely do a huge amount of teasing or these students would get carried away over the matter & not treat the topic seriously.. That's just what I think.
It's better if this was taught by parents but will they? Varies within parents. Well there isn't anything wrong if parents teach their child about sex ed. I think it's a proper way of preparing their child for puberty and once their child moves on with social communication. (I think 'interaction' isn't the correct word to use. ?_?)
Besides that, if the parents are the instruments of teaching sex education, the child would easily understand and comprehend, because parents teaching their children about this are more concerned about keeping their children away from inappropriate sexual activity.
"Rape" and other inappropriate stuff like that would easily originate from people who have no morals and who crave for lust..

Oo how is that suppose to help anything lol yeah in my school we got acne cream XD and I do believe sex should be taught in schools in a more developped fashion but without to offensive as people tend to get offended quite easily =/ and it would mostly be the parents who would protest when you think about it its safe to say that schools should do a better job in teaching the young ones these things but its also a parents responsibility to assure their child grows up with full knowledge of such things
