Today was a real mess. My sister got a chain text about a gang initiation involving the murder of three women in a Wal-Mart today or tomarrow. I flipped and instinctivly passed it along, but my BS detector started going off as soon as I did. I call the local police and try to get info about the rumor. Turns out is was some urban legend that got going last night and has gone around the whole county and caused a frenzy. I inform my sister and tell the people I forwarded it to that it was a false alarm. My sister then goes on doubting that it's just a load of crap. I try to reason with her, but I get a little frustrated at how easily she is taken in by the sham. Later I look it up on the internet and learn that for a almost 4 years there is a chain Email of a similar nature that causes a scare every once in a while. However, my sister is still beligerant, and saying in a deranged way wishes that it happens to prove me wrong I'm at a loss.

False alarms shenanigans! D: I seriously hate those types of sham!
I for one almost never use my cellphone. I'm just not the type of person who enjoys sending text messages to my friends. My cellphone's only purposes are for emergency calls/messages and for listening to my MP3's saved in its memory card. So therefore, I don't usually receive these kinds of messages. Hardly anyone ever contacts my number too, heck.. :S It's also possible that this kind of scare is evident in the bigger cities in our country too, but as I stated, I hardly care, for I don't touch my cellphone that much.
I remember one of my online friends shared me something about him receiving a different scare via text message. He was so scared the first time he received it, and he told me that he was too afraid to come outside. The strangest thing about it was that, the stalker who was pestering him knows his name, so it made me think this so-called stalker must be someone whom he has given his number with but loves every single moment of intentionally giving him a heart attack..
It was an unknown email address sending him that text message. Very strange, as it must be a generated email address which acts as a bot or something..

How ironic..my classmates were talking about this in my Journalism class...Although the ones with the right minds knew it was a sham.
