There are numerous communities devoted to various mods of Oblivion, and many of them are of good repute. Are you looking for a specific type of mod, or just modding in general? Do you have an idea that you want to implement?

To late Boogie XD Thanks though. The problem was one mod in particular wasn't working right, but, after getting it to work, I discovered, it wasn't going to do what I wanted anyways. XD Thanks though.

What's the point in modding it?

Increase replay value, include things that make the game more engaging, having a more personal touch to the game. There are plenty of reasons to modify a game.

Yeah, make it more immersive, harder, easier, or for fan-boys like me, fight alongside (or as) your favorite characters

You could normally set its difficulty rating...as for the others, not really..

You've never played Oblivion before, I take it. There isn't any real means of influencing the difficulty. The combinations of races and classes will influence how hard ot easy the game will be, but the system is a little broken in that everything is the same level you are. Fighting level 20 sewer rats bites, and the daedra never get really easy.

And making Enemies who used to walk around in pitch blackness all now carry torches? Adding realistic sway to a bow? And making realistic helmet PoVs? (Wearing a helmet will block out the view on your 1st person mode)

Fighting level 20 sewer rats bites, and the daedra never get really easy. I wouldn't be talking about it now would I if I never played it before. And setting its difficulty in the one I play makes the enemies hit much more than usual. Because my fully geared character was killed by a simple Goblin Warlord.
