Welp, it's not much, and it feels WAY to remincicent to Megaten in some aspects, but here ya go! (You asked for it) (I'll explain some aspects if need be) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a dark day in the year 2018, and things had only gone downhill. From the day the Great Calamity, when the sky had opened, and the border between what humans had once thought fantasy and reality was shattered. What humans had once taken granted as things that existed only in video games had come and taken their world. Humans still lived, but now the minority to demons, monsters, and even Hyrulians, an elf-like race once thought to be the creation of a video game. One human sat in a bar quietly, one of the few left in the territory. He yawned, a quiet voice suddenly ringing in his ear. 'Hey, Lee, you done killing yourself?' It was a female voice. One which he never didn't want to hear. He loved how the voice was so melodic, even when she was chewing him out. 'I'm not drinking.' He responded within his own head. He looked over his virgin Pina colada with a slight distaste. 'You won't let me, remember?' 'I want you to live a long, healthy life! And so do the people! They can't have a guardian keeling over from a corrupt liver mid-battle!' 'Than why do you drink Sake before and after every battle?' 'I'm a spirit, I have no earthly liver, so it can't be ruined by earth wine, as delicious as it is.' 'And you can't stop lording it, can you?' 'It's a curse, truly it is.' 'Uh huh, that's what Superman said.' The man, Lee, was a guardian, one who was chosen by the spirits to help the world, and assisted by them. He spoke with his spirit partner, HIS Guardian with a light mocking tone. The two of them were one of the first fourhuman/spirit Guardian pair, Lee's best friend Scar one of the others. Scar was viewed as a traitor to the people, not because he went to join Gannon, but because when he was gifted with the friendship of a Inugami, a Japanese dog spirit, Scar had left the colony he was supposed to be protecting, and nobody knew where he went, but he was no longer welcome among the colonies. Lee looked into his drink, feeling the slight weight settle on his shoulders. First in four spots, than heavier, all about his neck and shoulders. He felt the soft, warm, melodic puffs of air on his cheek, and the four, familiar lines of soft, tickling fluff on his opposite cheek. He knew his partner was there, lazily lounging on his shoulders, despite the fact that he, nor anyone else in the bar, could see her. Lee smiled a little, meant to both himself and his guardian. The female was a Kitsune, a Japanese spirit-fox. The vixen chuckled aloud, letting her soft, melodic chuckle float into the bar, causing the bar-patrons to look about suddenly, as there was no woman in the bar with a voice like that. 'You know I hate attention.' Lee thought to the Kitsune with a disgruntled afterthought as all eyes turned to him, the source of the laugh. Lee could speak to the Kitsune through their minds, because of a link that all Guardians and Guardian spirits shared, known simply as the Tie.

Update!!
It was a dark day in the year 2018, and things had only gone downhill. From the day the Great Calamity, when the sky had opened, and the border between what humans had once thought fantasy and reality was shattered. What humans had once taken granted as things that existed only in video games had come and taken their world. Humans still lived, but now the minority to demons, monsters, and even Hylians, an elf-like race once thought to be the creation of a video game. One human sat in a bar quietly, one of the few bars left in the territory. The bar was dimmed, the lights kept low for ambiance, efficency, and to hide the fact they were there. The bar was set up in a large, barn-like building that had seen better days, despite being fitted with sound-proofing. Due to the damaged original sound system, the music, Trace Adkin's classic "Songs About Me.", that blared came from an older jukebox, one that had been modified to play from CDs instead of vinel. They can't have a guardian keeling over from a corrupt liver mid-battle!' 'Than why do you drink Sake before and after every battle?' 'I'm a spirit, I have no earthly liver, so it can't be ruined by earth wine, as delcious as it is.' 'And you can't stop lording it, can you?' 'It's a curse, truly it is.' 'Uh huh, that's what Superman said.' The man, Lee, spoke with his spirit partner, HIS Guardian with a light mocking tone. The two of them were one of the first human/spirit Guardian pair, Lee's best friend Scar the other. He felt the soft, warm, melodic puffs of air on his cheek, and the four, familar lines of soft, tickling fluff on his opposite cheek. He knew his partner was there, lazily loungeing on his shoulders, dispite the fact that he, nor anyone else in the bar, could see her. 'You know I hate attention.' Lee thought to the Kitsune with a disgruntled afterthought as the bar-patrons looked at him, disbelief in their eyes of the beautiful voice that came from this man. Lee was definantly not the type of man who could produce a sound like that, and his looks spoke of this fact. He stood 6' 3" with a wide, muscular frame. His body had been trained by a few years of the military, leaving him with the basic knowledge of some fire-arms, like the Colt Python revolver Lee kept in his boot. Lee had a shaved head and a naturally red goatee growing off his chin, in stark contrast to his blacked brown hair color. His eyes had been fixed long ago, and grey sunglasses with black lenses took the place of where glassess used to sit. He wore a black trench-coat, with black jeans and a red tank-top, one of his favorite outfits. On his back lay a sword, the weapon that humanity had resorted back to, ever since 2012 when Gannon had taken all of the armorys, killed all of the gun-smiths, and destroyed all the plans to guns, effectivly ending humans relying on guns. The Hylians, whom had never seen guns to begin with, helped the humans, who had lost the way of life they had grown accustomed to. Because of this, swords were not an uncommon sight for soldiers, but not for normal people in a bar, espcially not a sword like Lee's. Lee's sword was a hand an a half sword, better known as a bastard sword, it was also a flamberge, a sword that the blade waved in and out like a flame. This was not an extravagent sword, but it was much nicer than most had for personal protection. Lee could speak to the Kitsune through their minds, because of a link that all Guardians and Guardian spirits shared, known simply as the Tie. Lee looked up to the other men and women who were now staring at him, rose an eyebrow, removed his shades, and gave them a simple "What?" His deep voice coming, reverberating into the bar. The jukebox went silent as the song ended, and awaited a selection, the machine being one of the majority still not turned to the new currency of the world, Rupees, the small, multi-colored crystals used by the Hylians. No one moved or breathed, the bar-goers unsure if the man was a demon, or an agent of Gannon, and the man not wanting to be bothered any more than nessicary. 'You know you love it Kody.' The Vixen told him. 'Lee.' He corrected, having refused to go by his first name since the Great Cataclysm. 'And no, I really don't.' "Yo, guy wit' the sword." A big human man from the crowd said, stepping out. "What's you're name?" "Who wants to know?" Lee asked, not wanting to give his name. He was revered around the village, but not many knew what he looked like. "You tell us, now. because someone like you can't possibly make a voice that girly. You Gannon's man? Or a demon?" Lee's eyebrow ascended again. "And if I don't tell you?" He asked with a little bit of a chuckle in his voice. A challenge to the big man. The man bristled, easilly being baited as he grabbed a full beer bottle, breaking it over the counter, and pointing it towards Lee. "I'll kill you!" The female laugh sounded again, startling the men. They were sure the voice hadn't come from Lee this time. The air around Lee's shoulder began to rustle, as if heat was distorting the air. The space began to change, and color flooded in, a body appearing. After a few moments, a white, four-tailed fox was laying on his shoulders, her ears and each of her tails tipped in black, as well as the "socks" around her paws. The Kitsune looked at the big man with a vulpine expression, equal parts amusment and challenging contained within. The man dropped the broken bottle, and an audible gasp was heard over the bar. "A...A Gaurdian!?" The man stuttered, shocked. "That's the Guardian Lee!" Another shouted. "How amusing humans are...They pick fights with the very beings that stand between them and certain death. Please, human, tell me. How many Demons have you killed? How many Colonies have you saved? Hm?" The Kitsune cocked a brow, jumping from Lee's shoulders, and walking assuredly to the man once she landed. The man staggered backwards, unknowing, and not wanting to find out, what a Kitsune could to do him, should he upset her. Suddenly, the spirit-vixen turned, her back to the man, and reclaimed her perch on Lee's shoulders, laying her head on his chest, closing her eyes, effectivly telling the man she was through speaking to, or even looking at him. The man looked away, not sure of what to say. "Er...Um, sorry, Gaurdian, I thought you may be a demon..some kind of sick thing taking the form of a male." The Kitsune cleared her throat, opening one eye, glaring at the man. "Erm, sorry, miss Kitsune." "Kitsune-sama to you." She said simply, closing the eye. 'Behave Kasumi.' Lee said over the tie, scolding her lightly. 'Well, he should respect us more. Bakabakashii wa-mu.' She thought with a supirior tone. Kasumi, being a Japanese spirit, had a tendency to speak Japanese when upset. However, Lee had picked up on the language before meeting the spirit. 'Agreed. But watch the "Stupid worm" comment, before you insult someone I like.' Lee looked up, looking at the group, and returned his sunglasses to his nose, turning away from them. "I'm going to be going. I'm not signing autographs, so don't bother. Kasumi and I sense a demon nearby." This, was of course, a lie. There was no demon nearby, or Kasumi would've told him. The people, however huddled back together and nodded as Lee left. Lee smiled a little, knowing that the power of the Gaurdians were usually massivly over-estimated. Likely to give people hope against the power of the Tri-force. The spirits held the true power of the Gaurdians, more often than not. However, perhaps these rumors were the faults of he and his sister, Britt. The two of them, constantly rivals, and thorns in one anothers side, had allowed their spirits to possess them. This possession was willing, and still allowed Lee and Britt control of their own bodies, but allowed the power of the spirits to the humans, and changed the humans physical appearence. Lee let his mind wander as he walked out the door, remembering the last time he and Kasumi had done this. They were fighting a reaper demon, as most people called them, because of how they looked very much like the Grim Reaper. They were a floating ensamble, which included a mask, often a drama theatre mask of tradgedy, a black, hooded cloak, two floating leather gloves, and a scythe. The power of these creatures came from the mask, and once this was broken, the other items fell, and the demon was dead. Lee had lost his sword, and he was facing several of them. Lee had tried to shoot the demons, but they were to lithe, to easily dodging the bullets. Kasumi had suggested the union, and Lee had complied to up his chances of survival. Lee had grown long white fox ears where his ears used to be that were tipped in black like Kasumi's. His body became more skinny, less muscular, but much faster. The skin around his hands and feet had darkened, much like Kasumi's socks, and he had sprouted the spirit-vixens tail. The power he had gained was beyond what Lee had ever imagined his body could contain. He and Kasumi had become one, in mind and body. It was truely one of the strangest experiances, and yet, one of the greatest, in his life. On that topic, Lee's mind wandered to Brittney. He wondered where she was. Another Guardian had come of age in Brittney's colony, freeing her up to visit Lee. She had told him she was coming a few days aga, and he had yet to hear from her since. Lee wasn't worried, but he was curious where she wa- "Aagh!!" Lee suddenly shouted in pain as he felt fangs sink into his leg, Kasumi growled, but not in shock or anger, but in frustration. She knew what invisble force had sank his fangs into Lee's leg. A deep, noble sounding voice laughed, as a white tiger faded into view. "Hwang, I should've known." Kasumi said quietly, an edge of annoyance to her voice. Hwang-Shi was a Chinese tiger spirit, known as the "White Ghost Tiger", and a natural enemy to the Kitsune. The White Tiger had illusionary abilities similar to the Kitsune, and while Kitsune had been known to devour the souls of humans, Hwangs type devoured the body. Because of this, Hwang had a great love of biting Lee, and, on several occasions, attempting to eat him, although he swore this action was all a joke. Hwang was also Brittney's spirit Guardian. "Where's Britt, Ankle-biter?" Lee asked, using the name he had dubbed Hwang as long ago. "She is near. And how many times must I tell you human, my name is Hwang. A title such as Ankle-biter is very disrespectful." "You've got to earn respect first, hairball." Kasumi shot at him, staying on Lee's shoulder, but keeping her glare right on Hwang. "I have garnered a great deal more respect than you can comprehend, little fuzzy rat." Hwang said back, inspecting his paw with fleeting intrest. Kasumi wasn't baited, but she was quiet. "I do not blame you for rudness, human. After all, look what you have for guidance." The Tiger shook his large head, a small smile on his maw. "In any case, my human will be along shortly. I had run ahead, simply because I wished to see if you were here, so my human could turn around, and we could return home, so I could resume my nap." "How stereotypical, a lazy cat." Kasumi shot, closing her eyes. "In any case, it seems that you are here. So I may tell her." "No need!" A voice came from behind Lee, as well as a weight on his back, starteling the man. He turned his head quickly, and met the face of his sister. "Hi." She said with a smug look, knowing how jumpy that he still was. (Insert desc of Brit.) Lee smiled, dispite having just been startled, and embraced his sister once she let him up. "It's been a while Sis." He said warmly. "Yeah, I guess." She responded, smiling. She had missed her brother, weather she'd show it or not. It had been a year since she'd last seen him, and she wanted to catch up. The two laughed, heading back towards the colony together, Hwang trailing behind in quiet dignity.
"Not a bad place..." Brittney remarked, flopping down onto a beanbag chair. Lee's home was a small, two roomed shelter, decorated equally with memories of his old life on one side, and with plans for the future on the other. His memories included posters of bands he listened to, old things from his old home, like games, a stereo, a bookshelf that was almost fully stocked, pictures of dragons and old stuffed animals, and folders upon folders full of writing, stacked near a small desk that had an old type-writer set up and ready. On the other side were pictures of demons, notes on the demons, studying of where Gannon had been, trying to find a pattern, a large map, a list of all known Gaurdians and where they were, and other such things. A small kitchen-like area was against this side as well. In the middle, pushed against the wall, was his bed. And dead center of the room was the living area. This had a TV set up, along with a DVD player, and VHS, with a couch, two bean-bag chairs, a dog-bed for Kasumi (which he insited was a fox-bed), and a large, plushy rocking chair. Lee flopped into the rocking chair as Kasumi took her place, curling up in the bed. Hwang yawned, streching out and taking his place by Brittney's side, unhappily at the moment, as he showed by drumming his paw against his front leg. The two were happy at the moment, speaking of old times, and remincing about their old friends and memories. Brittney told Lee that she was considering trying to find a way over-seas, a feat which had not been done since the Cataclysm, for fear of the beasts that now existed below the ocean. She wanted to check up on the area that was once Europe, to see how things were progressing over there. Japan, sadly, was lost, as all knew. That was were Gannon had first arrived in the world. He had than constructed a great warship, which was now docked in what used to be called Californa, and went to Hawaii. The evil king had decided to claim that as his base of operations, due to the fact it was so far away from anything else, and the plesant temperature there. However, Hawaii, due to Gannon's influence there, soon was destroyed, just as the rest of the world. One by one, the volcanos of Hawaii had erupted, coating the island in lava, which cooled, making a new rocky wasteland for Gannon to preside over. Moving to North America, Gannon had ordered a large city to be constructed, and for it to be a mobile city, so he and his followers could keep moving about the word and continue to destroy the world in comfort. It was also a strong-hold many thought impregnable. Lee, however, beleived it only took the right mind to get in. As the two remincised old memories, suddenly, Lee's door was burst open by a frightened looking Hylian. This was a Hylian he had saved many times before, whom now knew him by name. "Lee!" He said, his voice obviously panic-stricken. "There is a large group of demons just north of the city! The sky just ripped open and they fell there!" "Shadow Demons." Lee sighed. Even he had taken to calling the Shadow Beasts that had previously served Zant, the Usuper King of the land of Twilight, by their new name, since they were assumed to be Demons by most of the human populous. Lee stood, walking out of the home. "Just stay here sis. I'll be back in a few." Brittney shrugged, planning to steal his bean-bag chairs as soon as he left. Lee started to run as soon as he saw the beasts, all with their backs turned to his direction, crowding around a single point. Lee smirked, looking down to Kasumi, who had now grown to her full size, about up to Lee's knees. Kasumi smirked back, and nodded, darting towards their target, whatever it was, as Lee pulled his gun, taking a stance that had his legs, one in front of the other, slightly seperated, and his left arm hovering just above the revolver. He silently counted to five, than, as soon as he hit five, started firing, using his left hand to pull back the hammer and ready the next shot. Eight shots, one after the other, into the backs of the creatures.
