Ehh, I dunno. They'd better, but I kinda preffered the monsters in D2. D2 is just... superior in every way, gameplay-wise, if you ask me.

Oh! I saw one of those mushroom guys from La Pucelle! I think there will be a healthy balance of old and new characters/monsters. The visuals are so good I almost want to get a Hi-Def TV to really exploit the graphical bliss!

When it comes to monsters, D2's monsters are MORE superior than D1's in terms of stats. There are no monster classes in D1 that could match the mighty Dreadnaught's stats and ability. And the Malchidael too can hit anyone because of 100% accuracy. (Excluding Baal who is superior in everything, ok? )

Well, I want to get it, but I've always said I was gonna wait till the next price drop on PS3s, for two reasons: 1: It'll be cheaper (duh), and 2: They'll hopefully have worked out all of the trademark bugs that come with Sony products by then (though that didn't really work for the PS2...)

The variety of talents in the D2 monsters is noteworthy, but creatures like the Succubus are staples that should stay. That and the zombies! I'm glad that they're giving the monster-types more abilities, I think it balances out the fact they can't master weapons.

Indeed. 4 skills just isn't enough, I tell you. Gimme 6 of 'em, at least. Am I the only one who loves the new Shinigami class I've seen? It looks awesome. I'm kinda worried about all the new throw mechanics, though. I've never been a big throw user for anything other than "MOVE FASTER YAY" an' stuff, so unless they really iron out some kinks, I hope that it's gonna stick to the back and just give us moar classes and item ranks.

That Shinigami class is awesome! It looks like it replaces the Grim Reaper class from D1.

That it does! One thing I'm particularly excited about is the possibility of anime scenes. <3

I'm especially interested in the new lift-attacks. I remember watching the first promo video evar and seeing a like 7 character stack knocking an enemy into the air, then subsequently climbing the stack, slicing the enemy, then flipping away like a DBZ fight. It was fricken badass.

Yes, I agree. It was freakin' awesome! BTW, have you guys noticed the new male cleric in Disgaea 3?? His hairstyle looks exactly like that of a Togabito from Disgaea 2! (Former Ambling Pirate, LOLZ! ;D ) Maybe he reconciled for all his sins and became holy... Weird...
