Okay, I need to clarify some more stuff because it's been confusing me.. ^^;; First off, the rankings. I've read that there are specific requirements in order to increase the rank of a character. So basically, I can't fulfill most of them yet due to my lack of funds, so that means when I create my original character, he/she would probably start in the F rank. I'm gonna need more posts and Hel then.. D: 1.) So, before I can make a character who will start in the B rank or higher, I still need to have a character for roleplay first, so I'll be eligible to acquire rank points? I mean, look at all the conditions required. I really need to have a character, don't I? 2.) If my rank goes up, will that affect my first OC's rank and he/she will rank up as well, or it's only for my next OC only? 3.) Are these for OCs only or applicable for canon characters too? 4.) If I buy an item such as Pyrosprite (will learn all fire elemental spells), will I receive a +1 in my rank for possessing all fire spells by purchasing this way? And some things I need to clear up for the vassals. 5.) If my OC who was recently created already has vassals even in F rank, will that count in adding rank points for that newly created Original character? (+1 point per vassal?) 6.) Can an OC have vassals from other OCs? (this one might be a stupid question.. ) Please respond to them all~ x3 Many thanks in advance!

1) It is a spoils system. The more money you have the higher rank you can get. So unless you steal the money the only way you can get more is by posting. And I believe the longer the post the more money you get but don't quote me on that.
4) It should count
5) Your vassal has to be of a lower rank then you are
6) I believe so

Thanks for the answers! But I need a much clearer answer for question no. 5, though.. ^^; I haven't tried posting a very long message before but I thought the money added to the profile was standard regardless of how long your message was. Yep, the vassal's ranks should be lower than their master. And what I meant for question no. 6 was, " what if the vassals of the OC were vassals of an OC for roleplay but made by a different member of the forum?" Does that apply?

I believe the vassals would have to be from another person. It doesn't seem fair to me that someone could just create two high ranks and then have one become its vassal.

for 6, yes that applies.
for 5, it's only +1 for having a vassal at that level at all, not +1/vassal.

That reminds me, Ryuzaki, what were your thoughts on the formal proposal of how vassals work? Maybe the Dark Assembly style session was a bit much, but a master having to be at least Rank C seemed like a good idea.

yes, I like the minimum of rank C, and if you'd like to work on some sort of dark assembly project, that would be fine too.

I wasn't referring to creating a high rank character to be a vassal of somebody. According to the rules, the vassal should be of lesser rank than its master. So if another member's OC could become a vassal of another member's OC, then I guess that will have to go through roleplay, right?

The idea is is that when a character reaches Rank C, the one who controls that character can create a secondary character to be the first one's vassal. Getting another player's character to submit into being a vassal is a little... impossible, so that's why I proposed this rule to account for that, but limit those with vassals to serious players and ones mighty enough to credibly have a vassal.

I understand that BK but why would it be impossible for one player's character be a vassal to another?
it seems like that could happen depending on the character.
