Corsair slowly made his way out of the area surround Baal's castle, face still smarting and head buzzing a little bit confusedly, "Old friend? ... How in the hell am I an old friend of his?" He thought back through the course of his life, trying to remember if he'd ever befriended any titanic demon overlords.
He hadn't. In fact, the brunt of his life was spent alone or even not in the Netherworld. "... And when I met with him after receiving orders on my 'ship', that was only... two weeks ago. Maybe time just goes faster for - oooh!"
Corsair's eye glinted as he spotted something shining in the distance. Shining things mean only a few things to Corsair, most of them leading to pillaging - either it's a light from a building, which you can pillage, a light from a camp - less payoff, but still just as pilalgeable, or it's a rift. Corsair hated rifts, but loved them all the same for the fact that they could drop you off nearly anywhere, and sometimes those anywheres were brimming with valuable somethings.
The light turned out to be a rift. Corsair waited for a moment, reaching into his pouch to light up a cigar. "... Last one?!" Corsair looked down in disgust at his pouch, peering in with his good eye, hissing through his fangs. "... I'll just have to go back to home base, I guess. However, only after..." He peered back into the rift, "... Exploring this. This is new and very uninteresting, but potentially full of valuables!"
At that, Corsair lit up, took a drag, seated his final cigar in the right side of his mouth and stepped into the rift. He phased back into existence in the strangest place, atop a tiny plateau in a veritable sea of geographical features just the same, each with various other demons on it.
"... Knock the last, keep the first factors..." Corsair sighed, but just as soon as he'd finished, his body tensed up. He was not alone on his tiny island...

Joan was surprised that Corsair had already sinced her. She expected his sinces to be much "duller" that they were dispite the fact taht he did work for Baal. Though maybe she was just overestimating his abilities and it was only one of the nearby demons that he since.
She grabed and knotched an arrow from her quiver just in case. She stayed safely in her perch aways of and watch to see what his next move would be. Maybe this will actually be interesting Joan thought as she continued to spy on Corsair.

Prier's boredom took her many places just in her realm. Of course, she wouldn't actually leave her realm - nor did she realize she could. Having beat on a few random demons, she flew about the area.
She knew she wouldn't find Croix here. That was probably a lost cause. But.. she shouldn't give up.
Her eyes caught sight of a strange dragon-like figure in the distance. What the hell - she hadn't seen THAT subject before.

Corsair slowly sniffed at the air, his good eye glinting with an inner light as he slowly turned to look about himself. Turning to face Joan dead-centre, he swallowed his flaming cigar in one quick gulp and flashed a rather menacing grin, made even moreso by the embers burning in his mouth.
Corsair spat out a small gout of flame and energy and leered in Joan's direction with his right eye. "I've no idea who this lass is... but I've made it clear now, gyeheheh... It's either the hard way, or the hard way."
Corsair's head was still buzzing with the thought that, aside from the obvious surrounding demons and this one he'd just spotted... He was still missing a piece... He shut his eye for a moment and swallowed the flames in his mouth, smoke issuing from his nostrils. "Now's no time to be rash..." Blowing the remaning smoke through his teeth, he paused to think again. "... And I've just impaired my senses. Habits be damned..."
Regardless, Corsair went back to scanning the area for this other presence he felt, its power so hard not to notice but all the while so very difficult to locate...

Prier raised an eyebrow. The sea dragon watched a specific spot for awhile, and Prier could feel the sickening, yet calm aura of a Celestial being.
Or what once was Celestial anyway. A pang of guilt and remorse hit Prier - she could've stayed like that, but that was no longer. Ah well. Better to kick some ass and call it a day.
For starters, she divebombed Joan...

Joan was paying attention to Corsair and didn't see the attack coming till it was to late. The tree Joan shattered and Joan was knocked out of her gaze with Corsair. Joan tried to jump out of the way of Prier's attack but she couldn't move fast enough. Prier attack caught Joan on her left arm and knocked it out of her hands.
"Crap!!!" Joan yelled in pain as she hit the ground. "Only one thing to do now" Joan thought. She had know choice but to evade Prier,s attacks till she could get her bow back and attack. Using her wings Joan took flight and started to try to put distance between her and Prier.

In the meantime, Prier was having the time of her life. Then again, she usually felt this way whenever she fought. The little fallen angel took to flight, attempting to flee.
No matter. There was the sea-dragon to 'worry' about now.
She snatched the angel's bow and landed beside Corsair. One hand on hip, her body leaning to the side, she dropped the bow at his feet and smirked. "Your angel friend dropped this."

"... Friend?" Corsair turned to face Prier. "... This must be the other one I felt, I can tell by the sudden overwhelming feeling of dread."
Corsair paused for a moment. "How is it that I keep making friends without prior knowledge or consent...? I mean, not that I'm not going to take this bow... it makes my trip here at least not wholly worthless."
Corsair bent down to pick up the bow, always keeping his gaze on Prier. Taking the bow up with his left hand, he bowed. "The name's Corsair, rogue for hire. This place and you are...?"
At this moment in time, Corsair was certain one or two things were bound to happen. Either the likely scenario of getting the salt beaten out of him was about to take place, or the highly improbable 'completion of introduction, then invite indoors for a nice cup of tea' scenario was due. Corsair didn't bother bracing himself, because at least if he was about to get punched, kicked or beaten, he'd stand a better chance of going flying away from this demon. She seemed the type.

Corsair's little comment made Prier's blood boil. But she had to grin and bare it, if for now.
"Friend, enemy, whatever," she said through gritted teeth. "That was a fallen angel that was watchin' you. And whoever watches strangers in MY Netherworld, watches Maou Prier too.
"So what the hell are you two doin' in MY Netherworld?" Prier continued, clutching her fist.

Corsair smirked. "Oh no, I wasn't calling you a friend. I don't do that until I at least know who somebody is, and... 'Maou Prier' doesn't ring any bells." Corsair took a closer look at the bow in his hand, "... And I've got no clue about who or what this bow belongs to or why it and its owner are in your ... ... your Netherworld."
Corsair's eye flashed as he realized exactly what this entailed - this wasn't merely some powerful demon standing before him, no, it was a very powerful demon - an overlord, at that. He nervously adjusted his eyepatch and wished he hadn't wasted his last cigar. "But I can speak of my own presence, maou. There was a dimensional rift in another netherworld that apparently leads to this very spot I stand, which was ... unfortunate, as I was rather hoping it would lead to a dimension made of money, guarded by small defenseless woodland creatures. However, if you have any interest in securing a multidimensional netherworld empire, I might be able to help you."
Corsair figured he hadn't changed the chances of getting either response from Prier, but managed to feel marginally less tense about the situation as a whole, because now he at least knew who was probably about to punch him off the incredibly tall plateau on which he stood...
