The years of demn hunting before being turned into a demon were spent with learning these lesons. Still, it was unlikely for a demon to run to the human world, unless they were of very little power.
"Ay, let us be off then!"

Olber tried his best to blind in the crowd. His ears didn't cut it, nor did his fangs. He felt like he was being followed around like something was stalking him. He was use to it. He could outsmart most anything. Be it monster, human, humanoid demon, some overlords. He wasn't dumb. It took crafty skill and guts to outwit something. He then stopped, twicthinghis pointed ears. hoping he'd pick up something.
"Damn.. Somethim' not human is here.. best make ado and hide..." HE said.
And with that, the small scout found some bushes to scramble in and conceal himself. Clever.. clever trickery.

The question was, would it work against the fool's luck. Hoek was contiualy being distracted by various flashing objects and was drifting towards the very bushes
"This is all very confusing... Its never taken me so long to find a demon before. The lights must me making me loose my edge."
He was quite out of sorts to see his earth so very changed.

They had made there way to the barren wasteland that existed on the human's planet. 'Twas a sight to behold. If the foolish humans continued destroying their precious planet, the whole world would be covered as such soon enough. There would be no place that would inhabitable... Just another reason why Popo despised these wasteful creatures.
They had been wandering for days, and it seemed as though the filth went on forever, but eventually, mountains rose up in the distance. In his studies, Popo had heard mention of the teleport runes that allowed a being to pass between worlds being hidden deep in a mountain pass. Popo was finally excited that he might be able to find the foul cretin that had eluded them thus far. Popo was getting more impatient by the day. He expected this to be a quick roundup so he could return soon. *sigh* Looks like that won't be anytime soon. Popo kicked a rock in frustration.
"Well, Hoek... see anything of interest?

Hoek had thought he had been on to something, but when he tripped in the bushes it turned out to be nothing more than a cat.
However, he had been thinking about it for a while, and he believed he might be abble to turn the human populace against their target inn order to flush him out.
"What if we disguised ourselves as humans and began spreading rumors about a demon's presence in order to create a public concensous against our target? That way they might flush him out for us."

Popo was surprised by the creativity of this idea. It was actually... well, good. If they were able to spread the word that there were demons afoot, it might be able to give them a clue of where their target was. Popo was entirely unsure of how exactly he would 'disguise' himself, being essentially a tree and all. However, he knew that at least Hoek would be able to manage if he could pull an armoured citizen look. If all else failed, he could just hide as Hoek went on with the plan. This could work. Bah! Popo was angry that he couldn't have come up with the idea first...
Ok Hoek, I think we can go along with that plan for now. But first we need to figure out some sort of disguise...

"Well, I was thinking of dressing up as some ort of army type... person. Tress don't normay talk on earth, so I guess we could have you hide some where while controlling a marionert..."
Though the plan seemed stable, it was still a questionas to weather hoek could pull off the acting necesary.

Popo didn't mind the opportunity to be away from Hoek for a while. An army outfit seemed the most plausible idea for a way to hide Hoek's demonimity, hopefully he would be able to be convincing. This would be goodbye for a while then.
"Don't screw this up Hoek. We could really get a good lead if we can pull this off."
Popo told Hoek that they would meet here again in a few days, and with these departing words, Popo turned and began to shuffle off towards the distant mountains.

"Yes sir!" said Hoek saluting the stump.
He managed to sneak into a military base by disguising him as a training dummy. From their he concocted a plain involvin two chickens, duct tape, and large mounts of monofilament wire. He hung himself from the rafters in one of the comanders offices and convinced the fool that he was a mesenger from Vulcanus and ordered the man to bring him a full battle suit.
When he did, he knocked out the man, tied him up, and put him in a hole in the wall he found behind filing cabinets.
From their he set out and headed or the nearest city. Shouting over the l0ud speakers "Beware the demon menace!"

Popo could hear the booming echo of the loudspeaker from his position in the mountains. It seemed as though it had begun. Of course, the ever-so-shrewd Hoek wasted no time in making such noise. The fool! Popo thought to himself that it would have been better to wait and infiltrate the base, and then slowly spreading the rumors throughout. This sudden report would surely cause confusion and suspicion in the humans. If the whole process had been done with a little more thought, it might have been a little more effective. Popo felt like an idiot that he was ever even slightly impressed that Hoek could come up with a decent plan. He should have just assumed that somehow Hoek would mess everything up.
*sigh*
This mission was beginning to grind on Popo's nerves. He wasn't sure how much more of his bumbling 'partner' he could take. This sly demon they were pursuing had to be SOMEWHERE nearby. This human realm was much smaller than the Netherworld, and it just seemed as though they had been looking in all the wrong places. Where the hell could he be hiding....?
