The Heart of Evil brimmed with wildlife and foliage that suited the name of the dreadful place. The Dark Adonis waited on the ledge of a hill, looking into the murky waters before him. He hoped that the Prinny he was waiting for wouldn't be long. Baal was the mightiest demon in the known universe, making alliances was the only way he saw it possible to defeat him. At stakes this high, there was no room for error.

(Some editing done, as I overlooked some of Baal's previous activity throughout the boards.)
The Great Overlord Baal sat upon his throne in the Heart of Evil, where the screams of the prisoners being tourtured for his own amusement ressonated within the castle walls. A small portion of his army was assualting the Krichevskoy Castle, attempting to return the prisoners that had wriggled out of his grasp. Such defiance would not be tolerated by the great Baal. Those followers of that bastard King Krichevskoy would all feel a simple portion of his endless wrath. It was the son of the dead King he hated the most. For that little brat carried the blood of his most despised enemy, and he hungered for his revenge upon the entire Krichevskoy royal family to be writ in blood.
The kid was a brat, but no doubt that some of his much more adept servants were already planning a counterstrike of sorts against the Great Baal. But he was more than prepared to foil any plan they had, as long as the vassal of his new "ally" did as he was supposed to do. He would not allow some brat to usurp his position of supremecy. Baal kept an eye open for insurgents and traitors. It seemed that there were those who were foolish enough to challenge him in his own domain.
"Let them come, like rats into the burrow of a viper...they will all fall to my might." he snarled to himself, his eyes burning crimson in the darkness of the throne room. He had been training for a long period of time, doing as much as he could to regain the amount of power it took to restore Frost back to her original state. He felt what he had done was sufficient for the time being, but still knew that he had more training to do before he was back to his original, pre-Frost restoring power level. Yet, he was not worried.
He knew they would all die.

Brue stepped out of the portal, back into Baal's castle. It had been an hour since he left this place, and already he was visiting much too soon. The gatekeeper glared at him, silently asking why he had returned.
"I'm screwing with people's minds'su. It takes a lot of effort."
Apparently the gatekeeper liked the response, so let him walk into the forests. As Brue wandered about, he wondered why the Dark Adonis would want to meet in such a place. Well - probably because he thought Frost was still trapped in the castle. It made sense. There was no point in letting the man know Frost had regained her freedom.
The blue prinny continued his journey, quite wary of his surroundings. His "brothers" were much stronger than him, but he much smarter. He was the perfect man for this mission.

Vyers stood up, anticipating the Prinny to show up soon. Even if the Overlord Frost was available, it's more traditional for intermediaries to speak first. From his vantage, he could see the outline of the monster penguin coming him way. He hopped down and walked to the prinny. He waved in greeting to the small creature.

"Ah." Vyers waved to him. Brue approached him with care, keeping a healthy distance between the two. "The Dark Adonis'su."
Brue reached into his pouch and pulled out a sheet of parchment. "Lady Frost sends her regrets that she cannot make it to this meeting. I'm her first-in-command. Should an agreement be reached, you can speak to her on more closer terms'su."

Vyers spoke, "Baal is a very powerful demon, and defying him is a gamble. However, he's the kind of demon that no soul would want to rule the Netherworld, even if might makes right."
He paused, then continued, "If enough high quality demons fought together rather than each other, it's possible to defeat even a demon as mighty as Baal. There is the matter of pride and egos, but which is more humiliating: To concede to temporarily relying on another, or to spend aeons in servitude to a tyrant?"

Brue cleared his little prinny throat and nodded. "True'su, but the problem at hand is more that my mistress is not exactly at her best. She has much to rebuild.
"No ego or pride, but rather common sense," Brue continued, after a pause to read his parchment. He raised his beady eyes. "What is it that the son of Krichevskoy can offer us in exchange for allegiance'su?"

Vyers thought hard to provide an answer that would satisfy the Prinny. The Dark Adonis nodded, "Laharl and his underlings should be ample muscle for the fight with Baal, but after the fight is won... I imagine that Baal has a great treasure in his possession. Frost and her vassals will have lion's share of the plunder, and I think that the relationship forged in battle would be a solid foundation for a long-standing friendship between the two parties."
"True, the Prince is hotheaded and ruthless, though that doesn't make him much different from any other demon. Killing the demon responsible for the previous Overlord's death will help cement the legitimacy of his reign."

"Hmm.." Brue seemed lost in thought. And technically, he was. The money wasn't all that important, but really - the Prince had no experience and was less likely to win, while Baal was ruthless, more likely to win, and more than likely to kill his allies. It was a no-win situation really.
Demons were always such a messy lot to deal with.
"I will tell you what. At the moment, Lady Frost is back in her Netherworld, restoring her own subjects' faith. Baal has already restored her title and her lands in exchange for allegiance." Brue straightened. "But I personally think he will double-cross her at any moment. If.. say.. Vyers-san were to help her right now, I'm sure some arrangement can be made, and more troops made available."
He was in the Heart of Evil, where Baal was more than likely to hear. Whose side Brue would play was anyone's guess, including the prinny himself.
"As an act of good will, that is. And I'm sure she'd love to see you for herself'su."

Vyers nodded, "Baal can be very generous with the things he's stolen. She blackmailed him into restoring her, didn't she? As an act of good faith, I am willing to accompany you to her Netherworld and meet her in person."
Vyers thought hard, he was trying to recall if he had meet the Overlord Frost before. He remembered that she didn't seem to be as tyrannical as other Overlords, but he could have heard that anywhere.
