Boogie set up a sizable map and a dry erase board for presenting his plan to Laharl and his vassals. He hoped that the room would be large enough to accomodate the many vassals of the would be Overlord. He looked around to see the demons filing in. Boogie cleared his throat before he spoke, "I've sent numerous Prinnies out with messages to the vassals spread out over the Netherworld requesting that they will attend this meeting and the ensuing battle. If any show up late, I would like you all to inform them of the final plan."
He points to the Overlord's Castle on the map, "As you see here, the castle is protected by a moat of magma hot enough to destroy most demons," Boogie draws a side view of the castle on the dry erase board, "and any demon with heat resistance would find it near impossible to climb up to the castle. The bulk of Baal's forces are going to concentrate on the bridge to the castle. This way, we can bottle up the enemy and engage them at a controlled pace."
"We're going to use a portion of our forces to engage the enemy, with the majority in reserve and have troops with long range capabilities to fight off flying enemies from the towers. At regular intervals, we will circulate fresh soldiers to the gate and withdraw the ones fighting. We will keep a few vassals in the castle to assist Katrina in patching up our wounded enough to be battle ready once more."
"Our major advantage is that our resources are readily available, while the enemy will need to take their supplies with them. Also, we will have Sherry seal the dimensional gate to prevent the enemy from infiltrating us during the battle. However, should the security at the bridge or the dimensional be compromised, we'll blow up the bridge to stop the ground troops."
"For the battle with Baal himself, we must first confirm his location. I imagine that he will make an appearance nearby when he sends his minions to overtake the castle. We will then assemble a small group of our best combatants to engage him ourselves, a safe distance from the castle. The variable in this equation is the Overlord called Frost: her strength is unknown and whether she and her vassals are going to ally themselves with us or Baal is as of yet undetermined."
Boogie looked over his shoulder, "Is this plan acceptable?"

Laharl listened closely, leaning back in his seat as Boogie explained the plans. Everything sounded pretty well thought out to him. Though, of course, Laharl didn't want to find himself in this situation without being able to rend the heads of a few opposing demons. "It sounds pretty well-laid out..." He smirked, "But I didn't hear anything about what I'd be doing during all this. Would you be expecting me to just sit around the entire time?"

(This takes place before or after Laharal speaks, and if after, then after the answer given to Laharal.)
Richmond sat and listened to Boogie's war strategy, his exponentially strengthening aura of cold pulsating and covering the people closest to him and the table itself in a thin layer of ice. As soon as Boogie finished his speech, Richmond put his skeletal hand upon the table and cleared his throat, making a sound that ressonated throughout the hall.
"It isss...a decent ssstragegy, however....Baal's forcesss...though bottlenecked by the necesity to attack through the bridge, are very well trained...and vassst...in number...and furthermore, hisss ranged unitsss...will likely be using portable ssseige towersss...for a better vantage point. The sssmall amount of troopsss...being sssent...will probably be killed more quickly than they can be replaced. If they breach the cassstle wallsss...I cannot sssay how well even the bulk of our sssoldiersss will be able to fend them off...I cannot even imagine how we could sssurvive...if Baal himssself directly attacksss...the castle. Futhermore...Baal doesss...have aerial unitsss...and other creaturesss...that have easssy accesss...to the higher levels. We must ssstay upon the higher ground, are you sssure that our ranged units can handle ssso many threatsss at once?" Richmond said, emphasizing each point as he listed them. He hoped Boogie had alternate strategies in case the primary strategy failed, or if the Prince managed to do something foolish with that arrogant attitude of his...

Boogie replies first to Richmond, "The flying units will be the second greatest threat aside from Baal. The majority of windows will need to be baricaded up with a few accessable for our own troops. True, the vassals of Baal are likely very vicious and fierce warriors. That is why we will need to develop tactics that will allow weaker troops to hold back superior foes. In short, we fight dirty."
"The siege equipment will be a problem, which is where the Prince comes in. He will use the dimensional gate before it's closed to take a sizable force who will destroy the siege engines. After that he will regroup with at the bridge to back up the combatants holding back the enemy. The sight of our leader ripping the enemy a new one will be good for moral, and Laharl's attack will confirm his presence and encourage the enemy to persist."
"Pay from plunder is a long-standing tradition in the Netherworld. That can be counted on from keeping the enemy from getting too eager to blow the castle to hell. They'll rather let their comrades die than abandon the chance to pillage the castle. It also means fewer demons to share the spoils with."
Boogie couldn't resist the urge to form a bright ball of energy in his hand as he smirked, "Addressing the aerial units, I'll take care of them personally."
"If Baal attacks us directly, then we must engage him. I suspect that the majority of his forces will stand down and see who emerges the victor in the fight between Baal and Laharl. This is why we should prolong the fight with his soldiers, to eliminate as many of them as possible before fighting Baal. We do not want to have significant remnants of his vassals running around among us after the battle to pester us with encouraging revolts."

Richmond nodded as Boogie explained his alternate plans and concerns. He immediately responded as soon as Boogie was done speaking.
"Very good...hmmm...I sssuppossse there really isss...no ssstrategy...for attacking Baal if he doesss come." Richmond nodded again, very slowly. "I hope that you are correct about the plundering of the cassstle...asss opposssed...to dessstroying it...we mussst not forget that Baal wissshesss...for nothing more than the utter dessstruction of the Krichevskoy family...do you think it isss posssible...to flank Baal'sss army? Perhapsss...flanking their troopsss...would give usss...an advantage dessspite the sssize of our army...and the ssskillfulnesss...of their own? They may be ready for sssuch a thing, but it may be worth a ssshot..."

Emily was not a strategist and she just listened to Boogie's plan. She was also not one of the more tougher vassals around... she had Chaos Fire and her Dark Embrace. Still, she knew about the Prinnies.
"If Baal arrives personally, the Prinnies will stand no chance... would it be better to blow them up around him if he shows up?"
She really had no clue about battle and bit her lip, thinking it wasn't the best idea in the world, but it was something.

Richmond turned upon hearing the voice of Emily, instantly recognising her. Richmond knew that Prinnies, despite how pathetic they were, were able to damage even the strongest of enemies with their self-destructing abilities. The real question was, exactly how much would it harm Baal? He looked upwards for a moment, and began slowly moving each one of the skeletal fingers upon his right hand. He began speaking, his attention entirely on Emily.
"...An interesting idea, Lady Emily. ...However, the main isssue isss...that the Prinniesss...would already have to be sssomewhat powerful to cause a visssible dent...upon Baal'sss ssshell...but...it isss another option to consssider..." Richmond said, still slowly moving each individual finger in a strange and grotesque manner.

Boogie smiled, "Don't be so shy, I would like to hear suggestions. It's true that the self-destruct abilities have their limits. But if need be, I think we can use them for unconventional means." Boogie draws a large menacing figure and a mountain beside it with Prinnies up high, "A land slide of great enough size can hamper his movement." He goes back to the side drawing of the castle, "We could luck out and he may set foot on the bridge to attack the castle. I doubt that it would finish him, but it could weaken him enough to make him vulnerable to attack from even the weakest of our forces."

Terra suddenly walked into the room. "Uh oh... this isn't a broom closet, is it?" She peeked around, realizing she was now in the same room as Laharl. Oh no! ... He's going to force chores upon me, now! This is bad! ... Maybe... if I stand perfectly still... he won't notice me. Terra suddenly stands up like a statue, unmoving completely.
Heheh, Terra... you're a genius. With a mind like yours, you could even become an Overlord one day! At this rate, I can continue getting paid for nothing! ... And since they never see me, they don't realize I'm not doing anything!

Ginseng, who had been standing next to Laharl the entire time listening to Boogie's ingenious plan couldn't help but wince at the idea of using his natural Self-Destruct sequence as dynamite for a landslide. "Um...dood? Are you certain that a landslide is going to be enough to slow Baal down? Not to sound smart, dood, but it looks like you're underestimating his power., Gin said to Boogie, mulling the idea over in his mind. Perhaps a high-magnitude explosion might slow him...but how would they get a bomb THAT BIG?
