"It is a little bit of both Thursday," Sydios said. "Certain people, like Skull and Witches, are naturally talented in casting spells. Anyone, though I would assume they must be organic, can learn to cast a spell if they practice enough," Sydios continued to explain spell casting to the robot hoping to impress Asagi.
"As I'm sure you know, spells can be or four elements; fire, wind, ice, and star. Each one is better against different enemies and in different situations." As he said the different elements Sydios began to cast each spell just off the edge of his wand.

As Sydios cast the fire spell, Tarein's aura wavered for a moment, causing her to cringe slightly. She went back next to Asagi and continued hiding behind her. She didn't want to see what would happen if the fire magic had gotten closer.

Asagi noticed Tarein cringe, and decided to speak up. "Excuse me, but could you please not use Fire magic around my friend? She doesn't really like fire." She tried to be polite to the new people, not wanting to make any new enemies today.

Sydios looked at his spell and then at Tarein. "I am sorry, I did not mean to scare you. If I may be so bold as to ask why are you afraid of fire? There are far worse things in the netherworlds than a simple spell." I hope she knows that there are times that it will be necessary to cast fire spells Sydios thought...

Tarein was hoping that Sydios wouldn't have noticed her reaction. "I... The demon in me... likes fire... I don't like when he comes out..." she said quietly. She hoped then that he wouldn't want to test her possessor's affinity.

Thursday observed the casting of the spell, and the cancelation of the spell. While he was uncertain whether a robot could use magic, the information passed along to Earth could improve thier arsenal. The child's cries surprised Thursday a little, but her explanation made her reaction understandable.
Her condition seemed familiar, like something from the ancient history of Earth. The name of the condition was somewhere in his memory, but it was just barely within his reach. Then a single word blipped into immediate access: Possession.
Thursday asked, "HOW LONG HAVE YOU SUFFERED FROM... 'POSSESSION?'"

Tarein spoke immediately this time, the hesitation seeming to wear off "It happened right after I got here... I don't know how long ago that was." Tarein had completely lost track of the passing days within the past year, and it felt like all she knew now was this world. "He comes out to save me... but it hurts... and burns... I don't like him..." she seemed to cringe a little again as she remembered what it felt like.

"I only met Tarein recently," Asagi piped up, "it couldn't have been more than a week ago, so I don't really know when it happened either..." She seemed to resent not meeting Tarein sooner.

Sydios was slightly confused by the unique circumstance of Tarein's possession. He had heard of case where dead sorcerers and strong overlords had managed to retain their soul, even though they were killed, and they would take a hast, but he had never heard of one trying to 'save' the host. "Tarein," Sydios said, " do you think the spirit in you could be trying to use you to transpot it somewhere? Do you have any communication with it when it is still inside of you?"

Thursday scoured his memory for more data regarding demonic possession, and could only find sparse fragments of information. As Jennifer was more orientated towards science, there was little to go on. However, because Jennifer was also prone to an overactive imagination, there were plenty of files from film, television, and poor quality books regarding the subject.
Thursday inquired, "BEEP, BEEP, BLIP... HAS THE CONDITION EVER MADE YOU RELEASE PROJECTILES?"
