"No, but it doesn't surprise me... with Aramis there, you would have had the advantage to take him down."
Emily entered the held door, trying to admire the interior. He was still a demon despite his manners and was no fool about his ambitions. Casting her eyes to him, she looked demure as she looked at him again, admiring his attire. Even if he was a demon, he had class.
She waited in the foyer, wondering if they had to wait for a seat or he had reservations. It would tell her how long he was planning this little adventure.

The host recognized Boogie, then greeted the pair. He brought them too a table before explaining that a server would be with them shortly. Boogie pulled back a chair for Emily.
"It's important to relax and take it easy, but there was something I wished to talk with you about of a serious nature. You're opinion is very important to me, and I want to know what you think."
Though calm, Boogie was a little nervous about the subject he was about to bring up.

"I know you have been busy... what is on your mind?"
She sat down elegantly in the chair and tilted her head slightly, letting her bangs pass rather cutely across her eyes. Her bats looked very puzzled and came to rest on her shoulders and chair as she placed the napkin in her lap and waited for the waiter.
Sighing slightly, she seemed to have emotionally calmed down a little and kept her eyes on Boogie. She knew he had another name, but had forgotten it sometime ago. Particularly with his work at the Senate, she had no clue what he was about to drop on her.
... Though in the back of her mind and heart, something was wondering if this was more than business.

As he sat down and looked upon her beauty, Boogie couldn't help but break into a smile. He cleared his throat before he explained, "For a long time I considered taking on a Pupil, to teach the craft to someone else. Ultimatly to bring someone up to becoming a master themself."
Boogie paused for a moment before he added, "That's why I'm thinking about adopting a young demon, and raising it as my own. It's not a choice to be taken lightly, I understand that it'll affect those close to me as well. What are your thoughts?"

"This wouldn't happen to deal with a certain young demon, would it?"
Certainly not Laharl... he couldn't sit still long enough to be taught such things. A part of her was sort of glad that it wasn't as personal as she anticipated. Still, this was a huge step. She was rather flattered that he was about to confide in her. He was one of the most powerful mages in the Netherworld.
She smirked slightly, folding her hands in front of her.
"I'm not sure dear Aramis would have the patience for that right now. Perhaps if he grows more mature... you would also have to win his respect. He loves crafting things more than he appreciates magic... though finding new and inventive ways to blow his zombies to bits may be fun for him. As for proper schooling, well... you know how children are about that sort of thing."
Particularly demon children.

Boogie rocked his head back in laughter, "I have nothing against Aramis, and for a miniature mad scientist is a good kid. Still, I'd have to sleep with one eye open and he's already a master of his craft."
He produced a photograph from his jacket's inner pocket. It showed a small demon child with a drawing in hand. She had a broad smile and curls like an archer.
"After going through the agency's files, I think I found a little one who would make a good student," Boogie stated. He scratched his nose, "I'm still not sure about how hard I should press the issue of the surname. Some are very proud of their names and treat any possible slight as a fatal offense, while some are more flexible about changing their name."

"Hmmm..."
She studied the picture for a little while, seeing the child's Archer curls. Though she pondered why an archer would have potential as a mage, she thought of the possibilities. If she was able to learn with a bow...
"Well, if you are going to teach her, I suggest raising her as a Knight. I am sure you can imagine how deadly a bow would be combined with the arts of magic."
Tapping her fingernail to her cheek, she ordered a Bloody Mary when the waiter came by. Pondering the possibilities of this child and the magical arts, she also pondered what sort of wrecking machine this child would be when she grew up. Bows were a brutal thing to tote.
"The question would be how well she would listen to you. What information do you have?"

He ordered a martini from that same waiter as he listened to Emily's thoughts. The idea of teaching her along the path of a knight. Balancing out magic and raw strength that way sounded reasonable. She also raised a very practical concern about raising a young demon.
Boogie nodded his head, "That is an important point, how responsive she would be to instruction. According to the information that I was given, she was orphaned by an internal dispute among a small but tough clan that lived near the Heart of Darkness. She was very small at the time, and as far as anyone knows has no memory of the battles. Like any demon she acts out and causes mischief, but she doesn't really stand out in that regard."
Boogie stifled a laugh before he added, "According to one of the caregivers, there was one demon that had a penchant for picking on the weaker ones. When the demon started trouble with her, she knocked him out with a skateboard."

She smiled to herself. He was powerful and a gentleman. If she was a mercenary witch, she'd be all over him. Laughing a little at the skateboard, it took her a moment to remember what that was since she came from a period in the middle ages.
"Well, she's got the spunk... the question is, are you ready to deal with the constant accusation of 'liking little girls'" Emily pointed out. "You are a gentlemen, but you know what the Netherworld will make of such a thing."
She wasn't a fan of celery, but it was something nice to stir with when the waiter returned with their drinks. She sipped it like a lady and couldn't help look over Boogie again. Ah, those unlady-like thoughts... even with her cool face she couldn't help but blush.

Boogie nodded with a wry smirk on his face, "While plenty of demons mock humans for their knack with gossip, I must say my brethren are true masters of the art. It will be a nuisance at first, there is no getting around that."
He took a sip as he gathered his thought, "But as I've learned over the years, one must not let the possibility of rumor or scandal get in the way of one's goals. One can easily miss out on a lot of living with that mindset."
"Besides," Boogie let his eyes run up and down Emily's captivating form before locking eyes with her, "Why get worked up over what other people think my preferences are, when they really are no secret?"
